What is the length of the rope that goes around the neck?

Good morning! The length of the cord for the Tau Cross I purchased is 22". From details of similar purchases, most corded items have a cord length of 18 - 22". As an example: I am 5' 11" tall, wear large/ extra large shirts and my cross rested on my breast-bone at heart level. I hope this helps. Be well. Be with peace.

Beautiful

The tau is beautiful. Unfortunately the cord is too short to tie the 3 Franciacan knots, but that's easily gotten around. I especially like the thickness of the tau.
