This basket is awesome! Quite sturdy and even holds up two heavy grocery bags. It will bounce around a little on rough rides but so far it doesn’t seem to affect it. It is really high quality and you can quickly tell, even from far away. I have a hybrid bike that has the look of a beach cruiser and this fits the aesthetics perfectly!

I purchased a white basket for my Day 6 semi-recumbent bicycle. I have the coolest bike EVER. The only negative is that people stop and stare and ask me where I got my bike interrupting my ride. The basket is great for carrying small items such as a cell phone, a sweater or small jacket, etc... Even my riding buddy asks if she can put her sweater in too when she gets a little warm - plenty of room. I use it for picking up fresh baked bread to take home after my ride. Love it!!!!The basket has two leather straps that buckle. This is perfect for my bike. I strap it onto the lower part of the handlebar and it hangs just above the front wheel (be sure to measure the distance from your handlebar to the top of the wheel). It is sturdy and does not bounce around (which was an initial concern). I am not worried that it will come loose and fall off. The straps are well made and should last for years to come. The only negative, if it is a concern to you, is that anyone could simply unbuckle it and take off with it if left unprotected; but there's not anything that can stop a determined thief. They would probably take the whole bike if it is not cable locked. Sad that we have to think about this!!!!!Lastly, I like the front basket much better than adding all of the additional equipment for a basket in the back. The savings and the way the basket looks is ideal for me. No fenders were added nor any additional hardware.

So darn cute. Very useful too. I carry my phone and a light jacket in it when I ride my bike. I have a lavender Townie bicycle. I feel like such a lady tooling around with the prettiest bike in the area. I'm 61, I sound corny I know. 😊 Buy this basket. It's perfect.

This basket is pretty spacious, which I like. Good quality, shipping was fast. Negatives are the paint is already chipping and I had to reinforce it with zip ties. The basket was not sturdy with just the leather straps. I got the basket for a good price, so I’m pretty happy overall. Another positive, this basket can hold a lot of weight after I reinforced it. I’ve used it for groceries and even able to put my toy poodle in it.

Basket is beautiful and fits nicely .. the face plate is screwed on crooked and it's annoying to look at ... I tried readjusting it .. it's a shame because Nantucket was a good brand .. but this little detail shows they don't care about quality any longer .. others wrote this same thing and I should have listened to amazon reviews .. kept it but disappointed in Nantucket NOT in Amazon !!!!

Was so looking forward to my new bike basket, alas, the item I received was defective. It appears as though the plate on the front was misplaced upon the first placement; however, rather than discarding the basket (or selling it discounted!) they just re-drilled the plate slightly to the right, leaving a hole where the failed placement occurred. Honestly, if I paid less than $20 for the basket, I would chalk it up to the price and probably keep it. It may seem like a tiny cosmetic issue, but at $40, the least I can expect is to not receive a rejected basket. Guess I'll be using my refund to shop for a basket from a different place.

Beautifully built and sturdy. It has a wide opening but tapers at the base which can make it hard to fit things in there. The straps hold strong at top but I wish there was another strap at the bottom. The basket jumps around when I go over bumps. (I once had a water bottle pop out of the basket and land in my lap while riding. Boo!) I'll have to make a make-shift attachment at the base of the basket to keep it from bouncing around. Otherwise, it's wonderful! I can't wait to order matching saddle baskets.

This basket is the cutest thing in my life right now (besides my dog). Super easy to attach. Feels sturdy. I can fit my water bottle (or a wine bottle), my Bluetooth speaker, and probably a sandwich if I wanted. Best upgrade for my bike.

Would have been 5 stars but it came with knicks in the wicker and missing paint.Love that it securely holds all of my crap and a couple slurpees 😍 Even my son keeps commenting how much he loves it.

I bought this for a purple Schwinn cruiser bike. The colour matches perfectly. The basket is a very thick and a tightly woven wicker. The leather straps used to attach the basket to the bike are thick and durable. Gets lots of compliments on the basket.
