burn wood with in 3-5 second from a foot away. not a toy. even when I point at a dull surface across the room, the contact point still super bright. the build of this laser is very durable, cant say much about the protective glasses. the only reason i dont give this 5 stars because the laser point is not exactly a dot but more of an oval shape, you can adjust it to be a dot at some distance but it will flare out at a distance, still show as a narrow beam but it expand a little. over all i am happy with the product.

4 stars because, while it definitely works, it is advertised for a use that is absolutely not appropriate, and lacks proper information/warnings about the danger of such high powered lasers. It will burn a hole through corrugated cardboard in under 30 seconds and projects a visible beam as far as you can see. It could also instantly blind a person or animal. This should not be used without proper eye protection (including for spectators/ bystanders), which the red tinted cheap glasses that come with it are not. If you buy this, buy good PPE for lasers in this 450nm wavelength and warn people who don't have proper eyewear to look away! Also be very careful pointing into the sky, this has the range and power to get you in hot water with the feds if you lase an aircraft.Definitely don't use it to train/entertain pets. Buy a $5, 5mw red beam pointer that won't scorch their retinas and potentially damage flooring and furniture for that.I don't have the proper equipment to test the output accurately, but this is definitely a class IV device. Use and store accordingly. It's not a toy.

This is by far the most dangerous item I own.But I had some difficulty setting it up, the batteries appear cheap (what can you expect?)And the charger that came with the laser refused to charge anything, I plugged it in to charge the Batts and it started blinking red and green indicating the Batts were bad but I put in a set of my own Batts and it also wouldn't charge them so I popped the new Batts into a separate charger and they charged fine 😐.The lasers build quality is nice and the adjustable beam was much appreciated 👌

The media could not be loaded.  Repeat after me: This is not a toy. Don’t even use it indoors as even a brief glint reflection will permanently damage your eye. Don’t point at anything that has eyes. It’s seriously terrifying. But it’s also awesome. Treat it like a firearm.

Super bad*** actually the brightest one I have found yet . Bruns cardboard so far , pops balloons and lights cigs as advertised. Beam all the down the street in broad daylight can be seen . Can't wait till night time to test this bad boy out.A+++++++

The laser works well. It would be better if the button didn’t have to be clicked to activate the laser. Just a push to activate, push harder to lock on. Like some Surefire flashlights. The glasses that come with these are absolute trash. It’s like looking through brand new lenses that still have protective film on them.

Can not focus at 80ft or farther. Will burn stuff but not good for anything but a light past 50 ft

This thing is awesome, but it is definitely not a toy. Even just using it indoors without the glasses or some kind of a filter over your eyes will make you see colors for a while after you turn it off. Aim it at your skin for just a couple seconds and it will get you, so don't feel the need to try it like I did. Love the additional tips that come with it. They make it a little easier to use without wearing the glasses. Fun to have, but not something for kids to play with or to play with pets with. Someone will just end up getting hurt. But if you just want a powerful laser like I did, this is a good one to get. Love the case that comes with it too. Holds everything nicely. Awesome kit to have. 👍👍
