Can this be used with the fire maple x2?

Absolutely! With your X2 you received a silver adaptor with legs. The legs face up, towards the pot, or pan and the outside legs sit on the outer ring. I think there's a pic on their page. Once you figure it out, simple. You can put anything on top of it. Keep in mind that you are NOT using the 1.5l pot that comes with the X2 when you are using the accessories. hope this makes sense!

What is the diameter of the heat exchanger opening on the bottom of the pot?
