The size is somewhat small. One of the markers didn't come with a magnet which it was supposed to but oh well. The boxes are quite small unless I write too big but I try to fit stuff in the boxes. Overall this is okay. I'd probably prefer a magnet calendar that I would write in pen on. The white board markers don't work so well with the small board
