First off, this is 100% a vintage fragrance of the early 90s but feels even older: 1960-70s. It's an amber bomb as well. If these things don't appeal to you then don't even waste your money. You won't like this fragrance.I think I had a bottle of this in the mid to late 90s along with the original Charlie which was my signature fragrance for years. Even when I could afford higher quality compositions, that fragrance blended so well with my skin that I wore it much more often than my designer fragrances from that time period.Gold is ambery, warm, spicy, with touches of rose, citrus, peach and cedar. There's even a bit of powder at the very end of an inhalation.The notes are difficult to parse out which is quite typical with vintage scents with lots of notes.I find that I need to be heavy-handed with this one because my brain is so familiar with this scent profile. I wear it at home so that I can create a fabulous scent bubble that won't offend others. It's so cozy and would layer beautifully with Revlon Ciara. Revlon Red is also another solid choice for layering if you want that slightly sweet, white floral energy.I love this composition. It's perfumey but I grew up with this sort of fragrance DNA so it smells familiar and cozy to me.If you're a Charlie fan this is blind buy safe. It's so inexpensive that you really should.

Very nice scent. I like the White Charlie a tad better, but still very good price for the amount!
