After researching culinary torches this unit stood out with its reliability of ignition / shutdown and for ease of use! When I say I did research, it was hours of research which made the hunt exhausting but I rather do the work up front than have to do the work later to get things returned and refunded. I'm glad to say this unit is AMAZING - it does everything described and being new to using a culinary torch this product made sense and is easy to operate. This is my first torch, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I feel it works as it should. I've used it a few times to toast marshmallows for s'mores and for things like creme brulee. The "continuous" switch is very handy as it allows the torch to stay on without continuously holding down a button. Both the "Continuous" and Flame-size controls are both within easy reach of one's thumb and index finger to allow for easy one-handed operation of the torch. After seeing some poor reviews of some other "similar" torches, I'm glad I put in the research into the Yummy Tools culinary torch. If you can't tell, I am very pleased with my purchase.

This torch arrived in a nice package. When I opened the torch it was so light I thought the flame would be weak, but no the flame is extremely powerful! So not only is it so powerful it's also lightweight which is a huge plus. Since it is nice and light I would recommend it for somone who needs a portable torch as well as cooking use. I think this could be great for camping as well since its light and powerful! The color scheme is nice and elegant and it was easy to figure out how to use. I look foward to the many ways I can use this torch.

No instructions. Can’t find them on the Internet and it appears other stores have discontinued offering this. It’s a piece of junk. One more piece of junk no on Amazon and I’m canceling Prime. It’s getting ridiculous and I don’t have money to burn.

I have always wanted one of these not that I cook a lot but I always say I want to cook more. The other day it was raining and we could not use the BBQ so I used these to roast some peppers. It was really easy to use and easy to fill with butane. It cooked the skin on the pepper in a good amount of time was no mess or fuss. I felt a little fancy using it like I was a kitchen pro. I want to try to use it on a meringue pie to get the top all nice and brown.

This torch is easy to use, refillable and works nicely. I love making creme brûlée and caramelizing the sugar on top. Before having this, it was a pain to get that to come out right. This torch makes it so easy for me to be able to make great looking creme brûlée. There are many uses for this in and out of the kitchen. My daughter has even used it to make S'mores inside the house. The marshmallows came out a nice toasty brown without burning them. You can adjust the flame to suit your needs.

This is a great little kitchen blowtorch with plenty of power to brown your creme brulees or sear your peppers. Comes with clear instructions on how to fuel the torch, using the right sort of butane canister, and on how to start the torch safely and simply. It works a treat and will be a useful addition to our kitchen. Often thought about buying one but never liked the build or quality of most I've seen. This is well-made and at a good price it does the job perfectly.
