FouFou Dog 82545 2017 Rubber Dipped Socks, Large, Black

These are very well made and I was super excited to try them on my 22 lb. 14 yr. old Pug. I measured his paws and they were 1.75" wide and 2" long. so that was pretty spot on with the size large in the chart. I bought them because at his age he is weak with arthritis and drags his front paws to the point where he broke a nail off and needed bootie protection at the suggestion of the vet. I put only one bootie on his bad paw and took him outside and even with the Velcro strap secured the rubber portion was spinning on his foot. They were too loose! I measured the paw portion of the bootie and it seemed to be about 1/4" larger than the chart indicated. Needless to say I was readjusting the bootie about every other house or so. I will have to exchange these for a size medium and see how those work.

They aren’t the easiest to get on, but she’s getting used to it. However I bought these because we live in Colorado and get a lot of snow. I noticed if we are walking through deep snow these get SOAKED and freezing cold. Only good for a short walk or over cold icy ground. If you’re going through snow more than a couple inches deep they only help a little.

Size Large fits a dog 15 to 20 lbs, according to the package. This info is excluded from sizing info in the product description. A dog 15 to 20 pounds is SMALL!

I liked the concept and the quality of the boots but the sizing doesn't work. After fighting to get the first pair on for 3 days, I gave in and bought the next size up. Even though they said they were a large, they weren't. Very frustrating that they didn't work out.

Runs VERY small and the size chart isn't accurate. I have a Great Dane and measured his paws. According to the chart, he was a large. I didn't even attempt to put them on. Ordered a 2XL

Size runs small, worked well

It looks small and it's a little bit difficult to put them on, but it actually fits just fine on our 25lb Goldendoodle paws. Fur helps to keep socks on.

They stay on the back legs really good because of the hinge joint, but slide down for the front legs. Socks don't have tight enough compression to stay on skinny legs. After walking two minutes the front ones fall right down and just flop around.

It took a few days before I found the best way to put them on and fasten the velcro in a specific direction and manner for them to stay on my dogs slim leg/paws. Once I had that down pat, they worked amazingly well. It allowed me to walk Fenley through all winter conditions, from de-icing covered sidewalks to muddy parks, they kept his paws safe and clean. The sock part without rubber will still get wet of course, say deep puddle or such, but keeps the mud and debris out. Love them, and have gotten so may inquiries from neighbourhood dog owners that seen Fenley use them day in and day out for 2 weeks when we had the cold snap, snow, and then lots of rain.

Was looking for a nice option for winter. My dog is too agitated and runs everywhere like crazy. Those boots, even it I thight them as much as possible aren't staying in place. Maybe if you have an old or very laid back dog. ?

I do not normally write reviews but had to make sure I did for this product. My ten year old dog was diagnosed with a terminal illness three weeks ago and as a result could not walk on tile or hardwood in the house. We have had to keep him penned in the living room and placed make shift carpets all over the floors.These boots have given him the ability to navigate all the floors in the house which has given him the biggest confidence boost. The velcro strap really helps to keep them on and we are thrilled they have put an end to the slipping, our job is so much easier now.

We bought these for our senior dog who started to drag her back legs. To prevent her damaging her nails we got these boots. The work great and the grip really helps her out.
