Q: I want to use these for logging whistles do you think they'll work

I had received these Plastic Mini Air Horns accidentally on 2 orders. We have been using the Metal Air Hons for several months. The Mini horns, outside in totally silent surroundings, can barely be heard about 200 feet away. We used whistles in the past for years, and these are a fraction of the sound. Being a Plastic Toy, I would not recommend using them for anything where safety is involved, or consider them a reliable sound source.

Q: Can the frequency be adjusted to change the pitch?

If the hand speed is faster, the sound will sound sharper and louder.

Effective, Easy and Loud

I am very happy I bought this product instead of the gas charged ones that run out and need to be replaced. This one doesn't require any other purchase and works GREAT! Very loud, used outdoors only to scare away a lot of stray cats that are constantly being born at my neighbors just a few feet away in our mobile home park. Also spraying vinegar around the property works great too. Haven't seen one cat in two days so far.

Great back up horn for boat

After unpacking and assembling the horn I thought the harder I pushed the lever the louder it would be. Nope, just a very light consistent push and it’s plenty loud to get someone’s attention. This is a back up horn for my boat if I am ever stranded and use up my compressed air horn… very pleased!
