Bought this to use as an incentive program for my 9 year old. She huffs and puffs about everything so a family counselor suggested I change my lingo from basically delivering orders and threatening to take away tv/ipad etc. and instead to use language that was more positive and says "little girls who get their things put away get to watch tv". That way it was not her constantly hearing she was failing and couldn't meat my expectations and always being punished. I decided to take it one step further and use these coins and gems as her reward. So "little girls who get their lunch box cleaned out and feed the dog earn a coin!" When she complies, I give her a coin for her to put in her treasure box. When she has great days or goes above and beyond I reward her with a jewel. Then each coin is worth a tv show and a gem is worth a movie. I make her give me a coin to get the ipad unlocked and use it. Then I just have to remember to tell Alexa to set a timer for half an hour use. Now she isn't just mindlessly watching youtube all afternoon and evening on the ipad. Before this method, trying to get her to get ready for school in the morning or get ready for bed at night was a fight. And when I say fight, I mean yelling, screaming, dragging her to the bathroom. I was frustrated, I didn't like how it made me feel and I certainly didn't like seeing the sadness on her face and sending her off to school just being screamed at. It wasn't productive for anyone. She still has days, but for the most part she gets ready now with far fewer fights and looks forward to earning her coin. This has been a game changer. Only wish I had thought of this sooner! My therapist recommended the book Love and Logic, it has been instrumental in giving me better parenting tools to raise my daughter with. I am so thankful that this little change will impact both of us for the good from here on out.

Had a mermaid themed birthday to purchase a gift for and I was a little leery of the price tag, seemed too good to be true. But the gems and coins are cheap anyway! Gems may be a choking hazard for children 3 and under. Definitely small enough to be choked on. So I’d recommend for ages 5 and up. The box is absolutely beautiful! And a nice size! Small, but still able to hold a good amount of treasures! It’s like an floral embossed faux metal with sling lock, just perfect for a little girl! Very happy with purchase! Bought a pack of skeleton keys, a seashell mirror compact, and a sequin drawstring bag to go with it and it was the perfect themed gift!

My 9 year old son is really into pirate things.He was thrilled when I showed him this treasure box.I wasn't expecting it to be as nice as it is. This is a really cute box.It is made of wood and looks like a treasure box.Inside there are 100 shiny coins. They are made of plastic and have a pirate on one side and a treasure box on the other side.My son put this as a decoration on his bedroom dresser.This would be great for pirate themed parties.Would recommend.

The little girl I got this for absolutely adores it and plays with the coins and gems for hours. She took them out of the chest to use it for other secret little girl items. It's fairly well made and has held up to her constant opening and closing and over-filling so I'm impressed. I'd give it four stars except that it's actually quite a bit smaller than it looks in the picture.

We needed 100 of something for counting in a kindergarten class and I was very happy this did have exactly 100 coins! The box is really cute too, that was an added plus. We had just got back from a trip to Disney World and my grandson was able to put his "gems" in the treasure box.

Very cute got this for my son who loves playing pirate games. The gems are a bit small about the size of marbles so skip the jewels option for younger kiddos.

Got this for my three year old niece and she loves playing with it. Good value for the cost.

I so love this. Bought as a gift for young ones that like pirates. I might get one for myself to use in a pirate decor display. Pretty cool
