Great project touchscreen
This is a great, easy to use screen perfect for small projects. The viewable angle is not as impressive as modern 5" cellphones - especially when it's oriented horizontally and tilted back, but remember the price point. Youtube and videos played by OMXplayer look good, especially when viewed straight-on. My next step is to 3D print a bezel and case for the screen & Pi, and possibly a bigger stylus.Set up is simple - connect the screen to the GPIO pins on the Raspberry Pi, and then connect the HDMI double-plug. Plug a quality power adapter into the Pi and boot. Install and run the LCD-show script specified above in the product description. The included stylus helpful, especially because I needed to calibrate the screen. A Google search will show instructions... After you've extracted LCD-show, cd into the directory and run:sudo dpkg -i -B xinput-calibrator_0.7.5-1_armhf.debYou can then click the "Menu" button at the top left, go to "Preferences" --> "Calibrate Touchscreen". Definitely use the included Stylus here for accuracy. The touchscreen can be powered by the Pi through GPIO. No need to plug power into the screen's USB port, but you need a quality Power Adapter for the Pi. (If you see a lightening bolt icon in the top right, that's the Pi complaining about the power adapter - not the screen.) I have also plugged power only into the screen and had the Pi boot up, but I don't think this is recommended.

Superb screen for the price, as long as you don't want to use the GPIO pins.
I received this screen in November, one thing led to another and I haven't had the chance to review it until now. It's a budget LCD screen for the Raspberry Pi series of computers, it's well made and works well with a couple of caveats.1) It occupies the full GPIO header on the Pi. Don't anticipate using it in conjunction with other GPIO devices. I had to remove my RTC to install it.2) It is Resistive. This means no multitouch. At least not that I have found.3) The stylus is budget, I'd advise finding a better one for a Nintendo DS or similar. Why then am I still giving it 5 stars? It's a budget screen that delivers on clarity, color definition, low power demands, reliability, durability, delivery time, packaging, ease of install and ease of use. It should run on pretty much any PI from the old model A through the Pi3 Model B and the Zero / Zero W (Though you will need to solder the header into place for the Zero series and find a different HDMI cable as the Zero has Mini HDMI in a different location)Would I buy another? Depending on the application - yes. As I said, the prerequisite is that you have no need for the GPIO pins, for some projects that can be a severe limitation, but if you don't need them, it's a VERY hard to beat screen. I'll probably add a video soon showing what it can do.

Great little screen - not fully compatible with Gen 1 Raspberry Pi
This screen delivers amazing bang for the buck. It's a great size for projects. My only disappointment is that the configuration of GPIO headers and HDMI plug are not meant for the first generation Raspberry Pi (even though it says it's supported in the description). I can't simply plop this on top of my Pi and use the provided HDMI plug. But no worries - I am just using a regular HDMI cable and have mounted it separately using the provided hardware. For the price I'm really not too bothered but would be nice to have known when I was ordering.

Very Nice Love it
A TFT LCD Display 5 Inch 800x480 Touch Screen Monitor HDMI Module with Touch Function for $35.99 it's a no brainer buy it. Order arrived in one day, hooked it up OMG grate picture and no extra heat from it at all. I Replaced a Color 5" LCD Video Module with RCA connector . It also created a ton of heat witch I didn't like. Cost was $169.00 sad face and the picture was not that good. I will buy more of the Juvtmall TFT LCD Display 5 Inch 800×480 Touch Screen Monitor HDMI Module with Touch Function for my new ideas.

Okay for the money. Unstable connectors.
I just got this product. Everything plugs in easily and got it to work. However 30mins in and my screen started having issues turning on. I’m not sure how much current the screen draws but I had to unplug and replug the hdmi adapter a couple of times for the screen to come back on. I’m currently using it with a pi camera v2.1 too if that might also be leeching power from the lcd. The screen isn’t as stable being on, but it works well when it is on.

Awesome device and customer service!
Ordered this last week and received it today. It was pretty well packaged. Everything I was expecting to come with it was present - the screen, stylus, hdmi connector and some mounting screws and drivers on CD [though the pi does not come with a CD drive].Connecting it to my pi 3b was a snap. The CD has 2 methods of installing the drivers - offline and online. Since my pi was already online, I just used those. Installed the drivers and well, everything worked just as it should. The touch sensitivity of the screen is solid. The physical connection to my pi is solid as well. All in all, I am pleased with this product. I would buy from this company again.

Great display with super fast and simple install.
Display came very well packaged and was incredibly easy to install. Brightness and colors are great. The CD comes with all software you would need to format an SD card to installing one of the included images. You can easily add the driver to an already setup Raspian SD card using a provided github link. This is how I installed it.Total setup time was less than 2 minutes included installing the driver, connecting the display and rebooting to a fully functional touchscreen display. The display comes with everything you need to add this to your Pi.The display is larger than my phone so I'm quite pleased with it's usability. You can't go wrong with this purchase.
