DeWalt should read this review.
Great product, plenty of stored power,, I leave it in the car and when sleeping in the cab I can run a fan or small heater to stay comfortable through the night without running the vehicle. In the morning I just plug it into the cigarette lighter and charge it through the day.*** HEY DEWALT ***A few recommendations for the next generation:ADD CIGARETTE LIGHTER SOCKET FOR DIRECT 12V DC ACCESS. Then you could power many 12v items or use the 20v car battery charger to charge tool batteries more efficiently.ADD OPTIONAL SOLAR PANEL CHARGERPretty obvious here, but could really open some opportunity for off grid adventures/situations with this unit and the smaller one.SPEAKERS WITH BASIC RADIO AND AUXILIARY INPUT. Seems to be plenty of room under the handle to integrate a basic system, like the tough system music station, only smaller. (Useful for emergencies)STROBE MODE FOR LED LIGHT AND RED LIGHTAgain, for emergencies, to attract attention.RUBBER GASKETS TO COVER ELECTRONIC PORTS WHEN NOT IN USE (like on the car inverter DXAEP1140)Thanks!-A loyal DeWalt fanboy

Does exactly what I need it to do.
I run a commercial video production company, and have struggled for a good way to power lights, monitors, etc., on job sites, especially when we are shooting in outdoor locations with no access to electricity. Oftentimes, we are also recording audio, and gas powered generators are simply too loud. Sure, various companies make batteries meant for use in production settings, but they are off the charts expensive and usually only come with proprietary power outlets meant to run specialty production equipment when all I really need is a simple A/C outlet. Enter this little miracle...it does exactly what I need it to do...give me portable A/C power when I need it, with two outlets which will handle up to 1000 wattsof total load at a time. AND, it will jump start our vehicles or inflate tires if I needed it to, all for only $250...and the battery is good for several years with a simple monthly recharge to keep it fresh. An equivalent production battery would cost $3000...and it won't have A/C outlets or jump start my car. This is a must have for anyone needed portable A/C power. It's simple to operate, and it works. Thank you DEWALT.

Junk parts with no way to replace them, read attached response from MFR.
The unit is not made by Dewalt and parts are not available by Baccus Global the manufacturer. If you open it to diagnose the issue it voids the warranty. My problem was a plastic gear that drives the air compressor sheared at the motor shaft. Likely a $1 part that cant be replaced and makes the units usefulness without the compressor to me worthless. see their response"Thank you for contacting Baccus Global Replacement compressor parts, batteries and or internal replacement parts for these products are not available as it is stated in the owner’s manual, there are no user-serviceable parts inside. The manufacturer warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of retail purchase by the original end-user purchaser (“Warranty Period”). There are no user serviceable parts for these units, repair guidelines, list of replacement parts nor schematics. Opening the Unit will void Manufacturer’s warranty."

Gets the job done
Ok this thing is beast! Hold a lot of power! My alternator died on my Honda Pilot. This jumped no problem as soon as I took it off it died! So ( I don’t recommend doing this!) I put it under my hood with my hood half way up drive home about 10-15 mins drive (DEFFF NOT MORE THAN 10-15 MPHs) but this kept my car on no problem! Love the compressor and digital psi reader that lets u put an auto stop when you’ve reached your psi! Tells u if alternator is dead!

Works great but it's HEAVY
This unit has come in very handy from jump starting tractors and equipment to diesel trucks and airing up low tires on job sites. My only 2 complains would be how bulky and heavy it is, and the booster cable and air line lengths.UPDATE 4 YEARS LATERI don't know if they make this unit anymore but the plug the 2 jumper leads are attached has come apart which sucks. also the 4 years of using this thing proves that it's just an overall pain to use. it's size and weight matched with the short jumper leads and short air hose makes it very inconvenient. find something better.

Not suitable for my CPAP system.
I recently purchased the DEWALT DXAEPS2 Professional Power Station. We need to power two CPAP systems overnight while camping and during power outages. This device seemed to be perfect; it is not. We took it camping and it failed us miserably.I decided to perform a test of the device at home with the same equipment I used in the field. The AC load is a Phillips Respironics System One BIPAP Auto CPAP system. It has a AC-DC converter. It requires 110-240v 50/60Hx at 2.1 amps for 12v 5 amp output. The device is fully charged and the display reads 13.2v. We plugged in one CPAP device. Here is what happened.Initially the system seemed to work fine. The CPAP started normally.I pushed the AC Power button. The initial reading was 25w with the CPAP plugged in but turned off.I turned the CPAP on. The display went to 45w and then stabilized at 40wAfter 1 minute and 30 seconds the CPAP stopped blowing and the reading went to 25w.It restarted after a few seconds. The reading went to 40wIt ran for another minute and 40 seconds and shut off again for 12 seconds. It ran for another 5 minutes and shut off for 9 seconds. It ran for another 46 seconds then shut off for 13 seconds. It ran for another 3:17 then shut off for 13 seconds. It ran for another 26 seconds then shut off for 13 seconds. It ran for another 58 seconds then shut off for 13 seconds. It ran for another 28 seconds then shut off for 13 seconds. It ran for another 2:38 then shut off for 11 seconds. At this point I stopped the test scenario. As you can see, this is unacceptable for my needs. I need continuous activity from my CPAP systems.
