Amazing buy
Bought this for a student who was having trouble learning how to type properly. Their parent wanted them to practice everyday but the normal typing tests weren't enough. This made it fun for them since they could visualize the groups and positions easily. They were a lot less stressed about having to type and were able to quickly get into the zone. Would recommend!

A GREAT way to teach typing to kids or adults (remove the letters from the keys so they have to use touch, not hunt & peck!)
It is odd today that schools are increasingly moving towards comouter-based instruction from early grades, but (many) school districts tend to provide only cursory typing instructions. As such, I look around my daughter's junior high school, and see kids glued to computers, using hunt and peck typing techniques. Not good!So I wanted a keyboard that forces my kids to learn to touch type. This is fabulous for that purpose. Use it in conjunction was one of the many pretty cool learn-to-type games for kids, and - as long as you watch at the early stages, to make sure they keep their hands in the right places - they will be in great shape, in no time,Remind kids that the key is starting with the little lines on each of their index fingers. If they do not realize that, this keyboard could be frustrating. The keyboard itself is excellent. It is ergonomically superior to my regular keyboard, so I like it from that perspective. It is wired, not wireless, but there probably are not wireless versions of touch typing training keyboards for a reaons (i.e. time lags are too commonwith wireless keyboards.)My computers found the drivers instantly, so it was plug and play for me. I was using it 60 seconds after plugging it in.The price for this is right. So do new typers a favor in the long term, and make them use this until they really do not need to look at their fingers to type anymore. And if your school won't do invest in this tyoe of training, at least use one at home.

Tried 2 - neither worked properly
Keyboards that have no letters and numbers are hard to find for a reasonable price. Most are the mechanical keyboards, like Das Keyboard, and cost over $100. I figured for $35, this keyboard would be worth giving a try. I saw the other reviewer that mentioned the keyboard is cheap, but I figured, it can't be worse than one of the keyboards you receive with a desktop/laptop computer. I was wrong. The feel of the keyboard is definitely cheaper plastic than those, and I would have been fine with that if it worked well. The problem with it is when it for more than just typing lessons. During the lessons, the odds of having to type a word with the same two letters in a row is fairly low. However, once the user gets proficient enough, or if you use it when not doing typing lessons, it becomes more common. On the first keyboard I received, if you pressed the 'n' key or the '`' key in rapid succession, only one character would show up. I didn't have this problem with any other keys (or any other keyboard), so I figured the keyboard was just defective. So I did a return and replace through Amazon. The second keyboard had the same problems with multiple additional keys. This might not be a problem for those using it for 15 minutes a day doing typing lessons, but if you use it for anything more, it will cause you to make a lot of mistakes.

Good for learning to type without looking at the keyboard
Decent for the purpose of learning to type. Wish you could switch on key letters for times you want/need to look at non-alphabet keys.

NO LETTERS!
It's not bad. The keys are close so if you have a child who is learning to type and has small fingers, this helps but on the flipside it has no letters. So either ways it's a toss up.

Very sturdy
I am learning on my own how to be faster at typing and not looking at the keyboard. I am honest, I loved it.

labels on the Buttons
Unlabeled keyboards are excellent for improving typing speeds. Unfortunately, this seller seems confused by their product. The last three we ordered were standard lessonboards, with labels on the buttons, and we had to return them for the correct version. The keyboard itself is good for instructional keyboarding. We have a class full of them. About one in ten seems to fail unexpectedly after some use, but the price is right. The color coding is especially helpful to younger children. Just be prepared to contact the seller to insure you get the product you ordered.
