OSD 300W in Wall Volume Control Knob with On/Off Switch - SVC205

Sound control is performing satisfactorily. However the instruction sheet provided with the product does not match the product...the instruction sheet included in each box provides details on how to adjust the ohms setting to the speakers to be connected, however the product does not have the features depicted to make such adjustments. Response from the manufacturer was that the wrong product must have been sent and that they should be returned, but that doesn't make sense as the problem is the instruction sheet, the product is what was ordered. To add further confusion, there is indication on the box alluding to the control being self adjusting to the proper impedance. Bottom line is these sound controls work fine and as intended with the speakers they are connected to, but installing them without being certain as to the impedance setting was taking a risk of damaging the speakers.

The device works as expected. It allows me to adjust the volume, and turn off my ceiling speakers. The wiring connections are simple and easy-ish.Two issues: 1) it is only in bright white and may clash with many homes (mine included), and 2) it is better for original wiring as the device is large and fills much of a single gang box, and the wire connections are on the side making the bending of the wires tedious at best. In the end, I cut the back of the single gang box out with a Dremel to make the wiring fit easier.

I installed this unit to control my Bose 251 wired outdoor speakers. Though the Bose Soundtouch app controls the speakers as well, I find it easier, at times, to use this on/off/volume controller. It allows me to quickly turn up/down music and gives me peace of mind that the speakers are powered down when I don't want them on. My speakers still sound amazing, no noticable distortion. At full volume using this unit I can still hear my speakers over 600 feet away. I love it, my neighbors.... not so much. LoL.

Ordered two of these to replace existing volume controls. Got one (other was backordered). Problem is, the wires connect in the back as opposed to right behind the wall plate making it impossible to fit in a standard electrical box. Would have to cut the entire back of the box out to get to fit, so cancelled the one on backorder and holding onto the one until I find an application in which I can use it. Customer Service was great to work with, professional and friendly, just happened to be a poor design. Can't speak to how they work or sound since never got them up and running!

Feels like i lost a little bit of volume using this even at the highest level. But it works as a shut off and that is what i needed

I have installed this and it works great. I am giving it three stars because I wired my entire home with a very high end, heavy gauge speaker wire. The quick connect connections on this switch are too narrow and too close together to accommodate the large wire. As a result I had to splice in a much narrower gauge wire to fit the switch. This kinda of negates any value of wiring the whole house with pro grade wire.

It’s control the volume as expected and I like having a switch to mute the audio. The plastic is thin and flimsy, but it’s not load bearing so it shouldn’t be a problem. It was frustrating to learn that the rectangle shape was not the standard size and you need to use the supplied faceplate.
