I've had a lot of KVM switches over the years: VGA, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort 1.2, and others. Nearly all of them had problems. Sometimes the monitor wouldn't turn on. Sometimes the video signal would black out in the middle of game. Sometimes the color data was compressed. Sometimes G-SYNC wouldn't work, sometimes HDR wouldn't work, or the max frame rate of the monitor would be reduced. In short, KVM switches are usually a pain in the butt! I had really low expectations when I purchased this new one.Well, this DisplayPort 1.4 KVM from Cable Matters is the best one that I've ever had. It's tiny, easy to use, has a great remote, and best of all...it just works. Here is my hardware:• Computer 1: My first computer is an Apple 16" M2 MacBook Pro connected to a CalDigit Thunderbolt 4 dock. The dock is connected to the KVM switch with a USB-3 cable, and a DisplayPort 1.4 cable.• Computer 2: My second computer is a Windows gaming desktop with an RTX 4090 GPU. It's connected to the KVM with a USB-3 cable, and a DisplayPort 1.4 cable.• The KVM video output is connected to an LG 38" gaming monitor (model 38GL950G) with a DisplayPort 1.4 cable. It's running at 144 Hz with a resolution of 3840 x 1600. HDR and G-SYNC are both enabled. Everything is working flawlessly.• One of the USB outputs on the KVM is attached to a 10-port Anker USB-3 hub. Right now I'm using 4 of the ports, and everything is working great. I'm using it for a wireless Logitech gaming mouse, a wireless Logitech gaming keyboard, a THX Onyx audio adapter, and a SteelSeries wireless gaming headset.With all that hardware attached, this KVM is working flawlessly. When I wake up my computer, the display turns on quickly. Switching between computers is super easy and reliable using the remote. There are also buttons on top of the KVM that let you switch between computers.The only downside is that the KVM has cable connections on both sides of the unit. I would have preferred to have them all on the rear. However, that's not a huge deal breaker. I just mounted the KVM to the back edge of my desk with some double-sided tape. That keeps it out of the way, and I use the remote for switching between computers.So yeah, if you're looking for a KVM that handles high-end gaming, fast refresh rates, G-SYNC, HDR, Apple computers, and Windows computers, then this is the KVM that you want.

Bought this to extend my Mixed Reality headset and can safely confirm it works like a treat. Full resolution and 90hz confirmed!!!! I got a full 10ft extra and can even fill it out with more usb devices. Honestly the form factor and port directions are MADE for this kind of thing.cons:I have to reboot the PC to turn the HMD on and off but this is fine as when I turn on my PC and I know im gonna use my headset I just turn the device on. When off it doesn’t turn on with the PC and cause any weird issues or pull power from the usb ports on my computer. This isnt cable matters fault, more of a mixed reality thing. This for me solves the issue where my pc keeps connecting and messing with my display profiles when my hmd is plugged in. Cheers

The unit came with the needed cables to connect 2 PCs to the switch, and you can then connect the switch to your USB and display via any existing cables you have.Initially I had a problem where I'd see an occasional blink/flicker in my 120hz display that only went away when I turned it down to 60hz. That's unacceptable so I started swapping things out looking for the cause and I eventually tracked it down to the original cable I was using prior to getting the switch.I suspect the issue is that at high refresh rates the length between the PC and the monitor can't be too long. My original cable was a longer 8FT? cable that came with the monitor and was known to be good when used by itself, but once I put it in series with the provided 6FT cables, that might have just been too long.As a test, I hooked up the provided 2 x 6FT cables to my gaming PC and the flicker seems to have subsided. I'm going to get an additional 6FT cable to replace my original longer cable in the config.Bottom line: If you're getting flickering, the provided cables should be fine, but you may want to check on the quality or length of your additional cable you need to use to complete the config.

Très bon matériel mais il faut bien brancher tous les câbles notamment les micro-B 1 et 2 aux ordinateurs. la télécommande est super pratique et elle permet de cacher le Switch et les câbles.

J'ai mis du temps à trouver un KVM qui cochait toutes les cases.Je switch plusieurs fois par jour entre mon pc portable et mon pc de bureau, affichage 3440x1440 en 165hz. Ca fonctionne parfaitement avec les câbles displayport fournis (la qualité des cables importe beaucoup, mes précédents dégradaient l'image).Le contrôle à distance est OK. Pour chipoter un peu j'aurais préféré une télécommande avec un seul bouton et avec un click de confirmation quand on appuie, plus agréable à utiliser.Bref, bien content d'avoir pu trouver ce KVM qui ne coute pas trop cher et fait très bien ce que je lui demande, le confort de switcher de pc en 1 click...
