midi guitar
I am writing this review after playing the guitar for an hour. First I have to say, you need to learn new Technic to play this guitar. When I started to play it didn't seem to be accurate, but after playing for a while I noticed some improvement. I think with more practice and some tweaking the result will be much better. I tried the TAP option and I noticed that it is more accurate. I think the strength of this guitar is by using it as a midi controller guitar. I tried it with Kontakt, FL studio and it works fine.Although it is plastic, the build quality seems to be goodHopefully I will update this review from time to time

does what it says it does.
The YRG is pretty cool, it does exactly what is advertised. It's a synthesizer for guitar players and to be honest it works quite a bit better when you use garage band or sample tank with it.The only real issue that I have with it are that the plastic on the neck is cracking where my fingers press too hard on the edges (it still plays fine but it's something to look into) and there is no palm mute or fretboard mute so either all the strings are muted when you release your hand from the fretboard or the open strings continue to play forever creating some interesting and often frustrating extra noise.Other than that it's a great little thing (I can play the sax and the piano now!!)

TOY
This looks cool but is just a piece of junk. You can get better at Big Lots. do not waste your time or cash on this waste!!!

It is a toy
The built in sounds are very weak by today's standards. The neck is textured plastic (to look like wood) but this makes sliding up and down slow and "sticky"The notes trigger well, 90% of the time.. if it is not amlost 100%, then it is unplayable. It is too small..Sounds take 2-3 seconds to load.. worthless in a performance. The picture shows the headstock, yet it does not come withi it, even though this white version is $30 more thamn the black (becasue it had the headstock I thought)It will be going back.. this is a next step up for a kid that likes Rock Band type games..

Good Price for a Good MIDI.
Quick and easy setup for Reason. Touch mode makes improv a ton of fun with the whammy bar and mod lever. Just plug in headphones for quiet practice time. Lightweight so it doesn't tire out your back during long sessions on your feet.
