CHEVY GMC OEM 95-97 Ignition Key Switch Cylinder & Door Lock Set W/ 2 Keys

I replaced mine a few weeks ago and this lock set works extremely well. No problems with fit, they slipped right where they were supposed to go. If you have never done this before either get an expert to help you or there are some good YouTube videos out there that will help.

So these keys and locks were so simple to to I stall. Pro tip, remove the center door panel and tape the window up. It keeps the center door completely open to work on.

Disappointed in my choice. The keys and locks are very nice, look and feel like factory quality. Easy to physically replace. The ignition cylinder lock is not for Tahoe's with VAT or PassLock Security. Cylinder does not have the magnetic signal piece. I trusted other reviews that said it will work. Maybe they got lucky or do not have the VAT system. If I did not need the security version I would be completely happy.

Worked great in my 1995 GMC C1500! Relatively easy install (lots of disassembling to do but the cylinders fit perfect!)
