I first bought the medium sized ones because my hair is average thickness and not "thick' or "thin". It is extremely long though so the pony-o could not hold all my hair up. So I tried half up and actually watched the tutorials and stuff and got it to work with half my hair, so I ordered the XL ones. I really like these as they do not pop and break constantly like hair ties do. They do not leave a crease in the hair either so I can change my hairstyle throughout the day. It does work to put your hair on the top of your head like in the pictures, I just do not wear my hair like that since 1998 LOL. Only negatives are: if you hair is all one length and does not have layers, it does not give the poofy look I was going for that is in all the advertisement images for this product. Also it kind of looks like it is pulling away from my head if that makes since. The images are of the Pony-O XL

i bought this specifically because of the volume it seems to create. I have medium-long hair however it is thin, so when i use a typical/standard hair tie, it just falls flat. the idea of this product is genius, however i am not sure if it truly works. you have to ensure you purchase the right width/size for your hair. i apparently purchased the size that is too large for my hair and did not hold as well as i thought it would. if its too big, turning the outsides inward (per the directions) is very hard and there is space in between and does not provide a tight hold. i managed to work through it however i definitely do not use it as much as i thought. maybe if you have really thick hair or extensions, this might work way better for you.

I love this is a woman-owned company and I love the basic idea. However, these bands would work well only for hair with natural texture or hair with a lot of product. I followed instructions and really, really squished the band down to hold tight. It stayed tight for about a half hour. Later, I went back to my regular drugstore hair ties, popped in a twist pin and then used the Pony-O. The upside is that it covered my hair band and made my pony look tidy and professional. The downside is that it can not be used alone on long, straight hair. The Pony-O is covered metal - and I do wonder if the constant bending of the metal will eventually cause it to break with metal fatigue.

Bought a set about two years ago. Last week, one cracked and could no longer be used. I like them so much I did order more. Would be fun to have different colors.

I liked the idea of a thicker appearing ponytail. My hair is thick enough, but sometimes you want more!At first use, it was extremely stiff. It took a fair bit of hand strength to get it where I wanted it. With subsequent uses it was easier to mold into shape, but it lost it’s nice clean look, getting crinkly looking.It’s pretty limited in the sizing, too. If you want to stack your pony tails or do a half up style, you’ve got to buy a smaller size. It’s not like you can just twist it around once more.I got the gray color, it’s not that pretty. Just a flat, dull, raw rubber color.The product did exactly what it said it would for me first time out. But now it’s relegated to the back of my hair accessory drawer.

The videos and photos make these look very durable, however mine is bent and odd shaped after using it 3-5 times. It still holds tho!My other concern is the amount of volume the photos add to the hair that these don’t add to mine or my moms. I believe hair that is a bit more thin and had natural body to it would work better.

I have thin hair and these stayed in well and gave my pony and bun some extra volume.

It's amazing. I will admit that I got it out of the package and tried to use it like I saw on the video that spurred me to buy it. I failed. I was immediately disappointed because yes, these are quite pricey. Then I pulled out the little card that gives you step-by-step pictorial instructions, and oh my gosh, if you are struggling with this product after you bought it please go back and try to just follow those instructions. Patiently (yeah that's hard for me, too). You will get the results that you were sold on. On top of that, you can feel how high quality these are. If somebody had had me try these in person and asked $15 just for one, I would have bought up immediately. Luckily you get two for 16 plus tax and shipping depending on where you live. The only complaint I can submit is that they don't fit around my wrist like a normal hair tie. If you are thinner than me (an easy feat by an incredibly large margin), you may not have this complaint. Which is kind of a silly complaint anyways, brought on by 30 years of habit. I keep my spare one on a carabiner on my purse now. I have mid-range curly hair. have a lot of it but the individual strands themselves are fine and fragile. In a traditional pony with an circular tie, my pony looked thin and pathetic and from the front I look like Draco Malfoy if he had brown hair. I have struggled for years finding ponytail holders that works since yeah, it looks real thick, but also no lol. Trust me once I got this thing secured properly, I was shaking flipping and moving my head around everywhere like when I used to mosh 20 years ago and it didn't budge. If you have lost faith in online advertising like myself, take my word for it and go ahead and try these out. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS, and you will love it. It will really hit home when you go to take it out, and you don't lose a handful of hair.

Complètement inutile! L'accessoire ne donne pas plus de volume que ce soit sur cheveux fin ou très épais ça ne tient pas dans les cheveux! L'article coûte aussi cher à retourner que son prix d'achat! Très décevant!!!!

I like it but not 100% as spected, I was specting more voluminous ponytail. Its little bit hard at fist to do your ponytail but then you get use to it is ok. I bought size medium because have long but thin and not much hair but I think the large one would be much better for me.

These pony o’s work as they say. Holds my hair in place once in. My hair is of average thickness. East to put on and take off. Good quality , sturdy. I like the different look it gives a ponytail.

Ne tien pas bien dans les cheveux. Peut être parce que j'ai les cheveux trop fins. Difficile de d'aire de belles coiffures. J'ai l'impression qu'il va toujours glisser

It says it won’t create creases/bends in your hair but I find that it did for me. It works well enough that I’ll use it if I see it around but it’s not something I’d absolutely must have. For the price point I wouldn’t purchase it again.
