Since it is a bit nerdy to carry around, I just make a joke, "you are jealous of my special butt cushion?, well I will tell you where you can get one too!". This helped when I went back to school and whenever I sit in long seminars (and I still use it at the kitchen table). It feels much better on my low back than on the days when I forget to bring it along. I think it is a bit overpriced for what it is (basic foam with a velour-like fabric cover) but it is cut and slanted a special way and I suppose it is not too bad a price for what it does to help. It isn't a substitute for stretching, low-back exercises, and chiropractic care, but it is a good little helper.

I fell two weeks ago and broke my tailbone, sitting needless to say this has been a painful experience.Reading the reviews of various cushions here on Amazon led me to this product and so I decided to give it a try, as the rolled towel I was using is hard to sit with while doing office computer input and paperwork.Came with lightning speed with Prime shipping and arrived properly in its own box to be removed and ready to use.So far I have been able to sit comfortably for 3 hours, YEA! The cut out is the proper alignment for me to sit and have the tailbone left untouched and that means pain-free.Nice dark blue zippered cover blends with my office decor, and is just soft enough to be comfortable and give the needed support.I loved it so much I tried it in my F150 Ford Conversion Van drivers seat to see how it would do there as to perhaps order one for my car too. Much to my disappointment that was a NO, the slope of the seat plus the added height it gave made my 5'3" frame unable to reach the gas or brake petals firstly, and the tilt of the seat plus the wedge of the cushion put pressure in the tailbone area-so the rolled towel is going to have to remain for driving purposes.Would I recommend this product for anyone with a tailbone injury like mine... YES in a heartbeat, just wish I had ordered this two weeks ago as my life would have been more pain-free while I am waiting for it to heal. 10 Stars Rating if I could.

I've been able to stay seated for up to two hours instead of the 45 minutes to 1 hour before. The quality is good and seemsdurable. My expectations were that I could work a regular 8 hour day and it has not happened. After two hours I'm in pain again. Now that we do practically everything at our desks, from our jobs, to our socializing, to reading the news, watching news and movies, crafting, travel arrangement, etc. somebody has to come up with a product that will turn our seats into a soft strong support for our buns and lower back.

I have had years of worsening problems from hip arthritis and sciatica. I have gone to numerous specialists. I have had exercises, electrical stimulation, lasers, pain meds, and a variety of anti-inflammatories, all with no or limited success. The cushion offers me as much relief as the best results I have gotten from lasers and anti-inflammatories, so I am saving so much in medical costs. I am able to drive long distances and get out of the car by myself. I have much less pain getting up and walking after sitting working at the computer. The dual density is helpful. The soft side is better for cradling my hip when it is irritated, and the firm side is better when my sciatica is most acute. It is truly a terrific product.Update: 9/29/2020I still love this cushion! I still get relief from it, even after 7 years of use at least several hours every day. It has really held up well, including the cover, which has gone through countless washings at this point. I am writing this review update today, because I wanted to get a back-up, although this one seems ready to last another 7 years or more!

I have tried several cushions for back and coccyx pain and this one did not help. It actually made it worse. I only set on it for about 20 minutes, but it was like sitting on a knotted up towel. I am 6'2" and 185lbs and it was mashed flat when I set on it. Not any support that I could feel. Below are 2 that I own and like. Both are 6lb memory foam and sold on Amazon. The second one is thicker and more comfortable to me. The first one is ok and has a nice cover but doesn't provide as much support. The 2nd one the cover is thin material that broke down for me after about 3-4 months of use. But the foam in it is excellent and comfortable. Amazing! All these bad reviews, and I've spent almost an hour reading them ALL, just to see what folks problem is.What's the craziest part is the majority of the bad reviews are complaining over things like, "It didn't help my rectum", or "My hip still hurts", or this thing wont hold me up, etc., etc.- -Look.... I've used a old cheap foam version of this successfully, for over a decade now. Your problem is, it's singularly for floating the 'Tailbone' (coccyx) off the seating surface...... NOT all your other aches and pains.- -If the reviews on this cushion, filtered out all these loony reasons for buying it, this would be FIVE STARS all the way down the page!I'm sitting on one as I type this, and it's a Mercedes Benz compared to my old foam one (which by the way can Still do its job even as flat as it is).- -Unbelievable... Seems a lot of folks don't know what their 'Coccyx' is. Geesh!If you have rectum problems, you buy a 'Donut Cushion', not a Coccyx Cushion. This sucker is so good, I just bought another one for my Mom.
