Good Enough to Buy
This book is interesting and entertaining, but not a book of the year like so many seem think.Allow me to elaborate. This book, as with the first in the series is something more or less something new. It is exploring space from differing perspectives of the same psyche. It possesses just the right balance of realism and necessary science fiction magic. This is what makes it so interesting, you don't have to suspend your belief too much. However, it is ultimately forgettable like other mindless entertainment is. This is not a bad thing, but does disqualify it by my standards as a book of the year. All of the Bobs are just as funny and relatable as always. You can't help but to root for them when they are down and get smug satisfaction when they succeed at something. For We Are Many continues where the first left off. It does this to the extreme, there is no reintroduction of characters or technology. It is just assumed that you will remember everything from the first. Frankly, I didn't, but I was able to figure it out well enough from context. So there are laughs just as there are fascinating and compelling stories in this book. I recommend it easily to sci-fi fans, but probably not to others. If you liked the first book, definitely pick this one up.

Bobs, bobs, and more Bobs
A good follow up book with interesting worlds, inventive technology, different species, and numerous Bobs. I hope there’s a third book.

Fun old-fashioned Sci-fi in space.
A fun and easy read about the replicants of Bob as they rescue inhabitants of other systems. The second book in the series.

Entertaining, very entertaining
A good series for readers of a certain age (Star Trek & Star Wars generations). I listened to the first as Audio (very talented narrator) and read this one. Will read next one. If Dune is 5 stars then this is 4 stars.

Delightful
Someone recommended this series to me and I decided to try it. So glad I did. It's sci-fi with an emphasis on sci but not so much that you feel the need for a calculator and a physics class to understand it. The premise is interesting. Cryogenics on steroids basically only the end result, due to politics and technology is like an AI but human-ish.Once Bob gets into space the fun starts. Discovering planets, fending off other nation's probes, encountering sapient life. All the standard sci-fi stuff but from the viewpoint of a once human, now replicant who is dealing with his own issues. I'm reminded of Becky Chambers, Alan Dean Foster, and Nathan Lowell. There's definitely space fighting action but the emphasis is on systems, philosophies, and evolution. If any of these authors appeal, you'll like this series.

Better than the first one
I have to say that I was surprised by the second book of the series.I enjoyed the first one but wasn't sure I would read the rest of the series ( I am an avid series reader:)) but decided to go on and get the second one because it was a nice read the first time around. How I'm glad I did.most "second" books or movies are normally more of the same or worse than the first, or even completely different. This was an improvement.I loved it and think it is more fun to read than the first. It starts off fast, with more action and more interesting things going on than the first book.Being that you are already immersed in the story and world, there is no need for long introductions and time wasted getting into things. Its just full on fun from the get go.I would highly recommend this book if you enjoyed the first one and would encourage anyone who isn't sure if they want to read the second one or not.Read it:)

Second verse, same as the first
It's still quite good, but the novelty has worn off somewhat and no new creative ideas have been proffered to fill the gap. Aliens are particularly disappointing in their familiarity.

Immersive science fiction
Firstly the negative - like all science fiction written by science geeks the writing is a little stodgy to begin but gets better as you go through the books. The real hero here is the subject matter. Reading about Taylor's van Neumann probes really got me started on galactic colinisation more than anything I've ever read, and even had me researching Drake's equation and Fermi's paradox. Really immersive stuff!

Brilliant read
I'm getting addicted to these books. You really need to read them in strict order otherwise it won't make sense.
