Waxed Canvas Pencil Case/Pencil Bag/Pencil Pouch, Rugged and Durable, Water Resistant, 8.5" x 4" (Set of 4)

I expected to receive a thin canvas bag and boy was I surprised to find that these are so heavy duty and high quality that I could barely bend them bc they’re so well made. The zipper is smooth but high quality and strong and the pouch is the perfect size for my pens, phone, and other items that I store in them. Overall I’m blown away by the quality of these, and I love the neutral colors. They’re sturdy but soft, and I can’t believe these were not a higher price for the quality of them.

I am leaving my original review below but i wanted to put the update up top.I had bought these and returned them because the zippers where trash, lo and behold a few months later I got an email from Readywares telling me that they had replaced the zippers with a new zipper and offered to send me a set f these with new zippers. I got them and lo and behold they are in fact good zippers. The note they included said they are YKK zippers. I dont know this to be accurate as there is nothing on the zipper to identify the manufacturer. However they are as good a zipper as I could have hoped for. They also said that the old stock has been cleared out of amazons warehouses and everything new should have the new zipper. I cant verify that, but I am writing this on 04.09.2019 so if anyone gets bad zippers after this maybe speak up.The pictures are original zippers, i uploaded a quick video of the new zippers.These zippers are so bad the bag is completely unusable. Which is a bummer because I really liked the size, the material feels like a fairly solid duck-cloth or waxed canvas. I thought the zippers might be stiff but I quickly realized that the teeth where just not lined up well and certainly not secured properly. I looked closer and even the bag I had never touched had teeth lined up wrong from the factory.I am bummed because I had high hopes, brass zippers and the cloth was a decent weight. I really liked the size. But somebody made a choice on the zippers to meet both a pricepoint and a margin. The results here are an unusable product.

Great small pouch for pens and cables is what I use it for. Great feel and look to it. They have YKK zippers which have always been quality parts that last. No doubt that this will withstand time and hard use. Great deal getting four for the price and of this quality.

Mine arrived today, quality products. I bought one for myself and another for my 8 year old to use for school and I have 2 extras. Honestly, it’s shocking to me that you get 4 of these for that price. I’d pay that price for one. The pouches are going to last a long, long, long time (as long as my son doesn’t lose his)

Nice looking and well built. My zippers are brass and work perfectly. Remember bags are smallish, so pay attention to the measurements given. They were exactly what I was after.

Very fairly priced set of four waxed canvas pouches. Sturdy construction with beefy no bs brass zippers. First one I’m using is for cash and checkbook in my EDC. One’ll go in my hip pack for dog walks, one in my bug out bag and fourth TBD. Such a great value another order or two will almost certainly be given out as Christmas gifts for family and work folks.

These are not made well. The canvas is really nice and thick but they are not sewn well. I turned mine inside-out to show the stitching. The design is a really good design but the actual construction is very poor. The zipper should be stitched straight off the end not turned down. One side is higher than the other so the zipper does not close all the way and the stitching is not tied off or burned. Two of the four bags are unraveling and I haven't used them yet. Maybe the person that was running these particular ones through the sewing machine didn't quite understand how they should be sewn but they will not last long. I will restitch the ends myself and use them but it is sad that a little attention to detail could have made these little bags really nice.EDIT: I received replacement bags and they are much better than the originals. The stitching is correct and clean. The zippers on a couple are wrinkled a bit so they don't zip smoothly but very usable. The canvas is great and they make good tool pouches. Very heave duty.

There was nothing to dislike about this product at all. I was buying as a replacement to the manufacturers origional plastic pouch that time has been unkind to. It fit the tools perfectly and looks as if it will hold up far longer than the original tool pouch. I am impressed enough that I plan on purchasing in other sizes to update other tool storage issues.
