Great bargain for the price. Decent quality, I have an expensive desk top unit but needed something mobile that was easy to use and at a low cost.

I haven't been able to get this thing to get hot at all. It simply doesn't work. Straight out of the pouch, it is broken. Very sad when the best thing about the kit is the pouch it came in. I had to go back to my 30 year old Radio Shack soldering iron with no temp setting to finish my project, but at least the Radio Shack soldering iron worked.

This is a very nice basic little kit. I bought one for my son and will be purchasing another for myself.

This has been a great soldering kit for me! I only need it for occasional use, but for that it's worked great. Mine didn't come with the case in the picture (nor was it described as so back when I bought it), so it's a bit of a pain to store (I use the original cardboard box it came in). Also, the solder it came with hasn't proved very helpful to me so far, but locally bought solder for cheap has worked great. The different tips have been really helpful at working for different applications. Overall, it's cheap, simple, the temperature-change knob has been effective, and it works great!
