Worth the money
After muscle issues in my neck causing me to struggle playing tenor sax with conventional neck brace, I saw this! The padding is great but the spreader bar spreads the weight across my neck, made playing easier and the adjusters didn't move. Highly recommended

Looks to be a top end, professional quality, comfortable and secure, Saxophone sling. But...
π° : At Β£17.99, at the time of writing,This :π : Adorence Padded Saxophone Neck Strap (Upgraded Soft Thick Padding & Metal Swivel Hook with Rubber Ring) - Saxophone Strap for Alto,Tenor & SopranoLooks to be a top end, professional quality, comfortable and secure, Saxophone sling.But...Is it a good buy π€?Or is it a goodbye π?(Thank you ... Thank you...π€ )Will I get a lovely cup of tea π΅, at any point during this review? Are there many more of these annoying questions still to come?Well... the answers to these, plus perhaps, one or two, extra, questions, we might accidentally stumble across, during the course of my meandering, and often erratic, review, we should tune up our saxophone, as we take a closer look... π...π¦ Packaging :It arrives in a clear plastic bag.It is not a bad first impression.β»οΈ Recycling :Most of the packaging can be recycled.Out of the bag, and the contents are easy to catalogue :βͺοΈ 1 x Saxophone SlingNice and simple.Just like me.Umm...ποΈ Features :First, why am I referring to the Saxophone Strap as a sling?Well, to those in the know, those that play, or study, or are just fans of, the saxophone, then the strap actually gets called a sling. It may be an old-fashioned term, derived from the slings used to cradle and support broken arms, but it is still in common use.My wife is a professional saxophone player, and teacher, with over 30 years experience. She has made her way through a lot of sax slings in her time. From the budget ones of her student days, to the high-end ones used by orchestras, she can spot a goodie, or a baddie, from a long way off.I am obviously drawing on her experience, and opinions, to help.Who wouldn't?π οΈ Build Quality :The build quality of this strap is excellent. The materials used are excellent, and very much up to the job.The actual strap is made of 100% Nylon, which will support nicely, be comfortable around the neck, but... unlike many slings that are leather, this will not wear, or weather, like one of those would. The closed swivel metal hook that clips onto the sax, is brilliant. It is far superior to the springy ones often used, and is strong, secure, and chunky. It will hold your sax safely, and securely, and will not wear out quickly. It has a rubber coating on the clip, to protect your sax's soft, and easily dented metal. The neck strap is packed with soft padding, making the neck strap comfortable, and makes wearing your sax feel light, and easy to carry on the sling. The strap is nice and wide, giving a nice wide weight-bearing area, and a wide comfortable area to sit on your neck. The sling is fully adjustable, and will fit most necks, unless you are particularly giraffe like.ποΈ Set Up :The sling will fit almost every type of sax, from baritone at the bottom end, all the way up to soprano at the top.It is mostly designed to fit a tenor sax, and this was the sax we tested it on.It features an easy to adjust mechanism, with an easy-to-use clip at the bottom end.The rope is of a design that will not tangle easily, compared to some belt type slings. To set the sling up, it as easy as popping it onto the clip at the bottom, and adjusting the neck size to fit, and you can begin playing in seconds. It is a quick to setup design.πͺ Performance :It performed brilliantly during testing, never putting a foot wrong. It supported the sax perfectly, and was reported as being super comfy by my wife, while throwing her chops, and riffs, away like confetti at a wedding.π» Down Sides :There are no reported downsides, but some manufacturers slings feature a slightly elasticated rope, giving a bit of bounce, and stretch to their slings. This could me missed on this sling, should you be used to that design.π² Value :The sling is brilliant value. For a sling of this quality, to come out at this price, it is amazing value.π Summary :In summary, this sling is excellent. It is well-designed, well put together, and nicely featured.βοΈβ Recommendation :I am happy to recommend it, am a proud owner, and my wife uses it almost every day.I hope you enjoyed our time together π€π€π€.Thank you for reading my review π€.
