FireStikAntenna FireStik MU8R18 18-Foot Single Antenna Coaxial Cable

Purchased this cable for my 2012 JKU. I installed it with a Procomm Jeep Spare Tire CB Antenna Mount, Firestik SS-3H Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Antenna Spring, a FireStik 5 feet II TUNABLE TIP BLACK and a Firestik K4R HEAVY-DUTY STUD MOUNT. Running the cable was VERY easy due to the ability to remove the connector and then reattach it after making the run through the interior. I installed my CB on my overhead molle rack and had just enough length.

I had been working on the cable routing for over an hour. I got it 80% installed and then when I pulled it underneath the car carpet the crimp connector pulled off.All I can say if the connector pulled off with such little force... It probably would have been the source of random signal and SWR problems.Really bad quality control.Of course, I am able to purchase a new connector and crimper to repair it ... but that is not the point. The point is that this was suppose to be a plug and play installation ... bit now I am repairing/building a cable any way.do not buy this cable.

Great cable! Was able to tune my antenna properly!UPDATE: Bpught another one for my wife’s vehicle and the contacts were faulty. If I wiggle the cable I get signal, otherwise I hear nothing. My advice is to test your cables BEFORR you run/install them!!!

I'm not sure what caused my cable to fail but I replaced this cable with a different brand and my radio works again. Maybe it was the rust on the cable end or the exposure to heat from being outside of the vehicle.

Made connecting my CB radio and antenna. UHF connector is able to come a part and makes guiding the wires through my Jeep Wrangler easier. Easy to tune paired with firestik. If your not able to tune with this. It's most likely your bracket. Scuff the contacts

solid design, easy install, avoided drilling holes or a bigger hole to run the coax into the interior compartment of the vehicle.
