I REALLY like this, much better than the polyester (read: satin) that I had been using. It’s probably best for short hair. I have a lot of hair, but it’s only chin-length. It stays on great but that could be the CPAP strap holding it on. And the CPAP is why I needed it.

I purchased this mulberry silk lined cap for myself, but my mother likes it so much it is now hers to wear at night! It is very comfortable and well made, the adjustable elastic strap does not slip through the buckle once it is adjusted. Her hair doo looks lovely in the morning, requiring only a little bit of fluffing up.

I just got the cap today,however, I love the feel of it. This will. E my forst night to wear it. I will give another review after a few days. Plus Im getti g my maintenance on my locs tomorrow so I let yall know as far as holding the hair in place. Never had a silk cap before. From now on I will wear silk on my head to bed. ALL I know is I really like it. Well see about how durable it is. As soon as I felt it I immediately took the other silk (supposedly silk) cap off and replaced it with this one. WOW, I'm about to order another one.

Overall, I don't regret purchasing this sleep cap and do think it was worth what I paid for it. However, as I only gave it 3 stars, it's pretty obvious that I also have some complaints. If it didn't stay on my head all throughout the night, every night since I started wearing it, I probably would have returned it already - finding a sleep bonnet/cap that stays on my head throughout the night without being headache-inducingly tight or leaving marks all over my face has been dang near impossible for me. The inside lining feels like silk, but the outer lining feels a bit more coarse... Which wouldn't bother me if the band wasn't wide as heck and made of the outer lining on the inside too. This wide band is the main source of my frustrations. The elastic in the band is like 1/4 the width of the stitched band and free-moving within that area (I pointed this out in the photo)... And the opening for adjustment is placed in the center and entirely too small of an opening for me to easily adjust. The width of the band means that, while the cap is effective at protecting all of my long hair, my edges are not getting the same protection and the outer lining definitely makes them more frizzy instead of reducing frizz. The color is pretty and it seems well stitched since my tossing and turning hasn't hurt it a bit. I'm going to attempt to reduce the size of the band myself to see if that helps my poor edges out lol, or if my hunt for the perfect sleep cap/bonnet must go on. :)

I use this to protect my hair because I use a CPAP machine. Helps keep the head gear from damaging and breaking hair.

Slides a lot. The band to tighten is so thin so it flips easily inside. And the adjusting band leaves a long tail when you tighten it with nowhere to go, and often slips out even if you tuck it in. It's alright, but I should've gotten something else.
