Hayward SPX3400Z1ECM 2.7-Horsepower Motor Assembly Replacement for Hayward SP3400VSP Series Pump

No issue encountered. There is no instructions or user manual came with the motor, but it worked once I got everything hooked up correctly.

I'm a pool guy in south Florida. I put the ecostar pump in 5 years ago. The only reason my motor went bad was a shaft seal leak that went undetected for some time. My pump had run dry on many occations. From now on I will change the shaft seal every couple years to be safe. This order came to my door in 2 days with prime shipping. Amazon gets 5 stars as always.

This pump started making a horrible whining noise within 2 months of installation. It's possible the seller simply had a bad pump in his/her inventory. The last pump (same model) lasted nearly 7 years. However, this pump will likely die in under 16 months. What a waste of my money!!! :-(

When I ordered this motor they told me it would be about a week for delivery, I had it in two days, the motor is an exact match for the one I took out, so installation was a breeze. I'm very happy and would order again. Great experience.

I didn’t actually see it because it was for a second home, but my pool guy installed it and he didn’t say anything about it being bad so I’m going to assume it was ok. However this is my second motor in seven years, Hayward needs to improve the reliability of their motors!

It was affordable compared to local parts and really easy to install. Runs great and keeps my utility bills down.

Purchased January 2024. Dead by Feb 2025.Had to replace already, but bought 3 year warranty this time.
