Q: My daughter is 18 months and 25 pounds... Do you think the infant or child on would be more suitable for her?

Although this was written two years ago, others may have this question: Go with the child life vest.

Q: How do you keep the jacket from ridding up? My son is 43lbs and we have the jacket up to 50lbs. The jacket rides up to around his neck causes redness.

Do you have the straps that go around his chest nice and tight? He should also have the strap that goes between his legs as well. If it keeps riding up the jacket may be to big for him. Good Luck and I hope this helped.

According to the package, yes. My granddaughter is 7 and weighs 80 lb. Fits her perfectly.

I would say no it will be too small. My grandson is 6 1/2 yes 50 pounds and we are at the tail end if it fitting him. Go up a size.
