Carved Top Semi Hollow Guitar Kit

Putting this kit together was really fun. Just enough challenge for my grandson and I. He's the guitar player, and the electronics guy. I'm the woodworker. Together we learned some things, and turned out a pretty good looking guitar. Now we gotta find an amp.

As of this time, I still have not completed the kit. The woodworking is unacceptable for the price. Glue carelessly applied to the top sealed the grain and will not permit consistent absorption of the finish, so it will have to be painted, which totally defeats having the flame maple top. Defects and small holes in the carved top and the face of the tuning head require considerable rework that may be beyond the user's ability. Wiring diagram is completely useless, not even color coded, and appears totally irrelevant to the harness provided with the kit. Save yourself time and trouble and go buy a completed guitar online. For this kind of money you can buy some nice instruments and spend your time making music, not a mess.. Nevertheless, the seller performed to my satisfaction and the product was extremely well packaged and arrived as promised.
