A to Z in Venezuela: El Alfabeto with a Venezuelan Twist Paperback – September 20, 2015

My nephews are biracial, and I wanted to get them something to teach them about their Venezuelan hetiage. They were fascinated the minute I opened the book! The four-year-old was excited when he was able to guess correctly the meaning of words he had never heard before. I love that the book is simple enough for the two- and four-year-old, yet interesting even to an adult.Great buy!

The content of the book was very good. My friend from Venezuela loved it. However, it did seem cheaply made. Not sure it was worth the money.

Lo compre con mucho entusiasmo para que mis hijos aprendieran español pero siento que no dedicaron al libro al aprendizaje de niños solo es como un obsequio con mala ortografía.. espero puedan mejorar la versión completa seria interesante volver a verles en una versión más adecuada al verdadero español

Is not what I expected supposed to be a Venezuelan A to Z and is really not!! There are much more Venezuelan words that could be used

Love this story that teaches about Venezuela.

So, this book was supposed to have a Venezuelan twist. and it only has 12 words that are commonly used/ or have some Venezuelan connotation. Out of the whole alphabet. I mean I never knew what a wafle was until I was in the States, that is not a Venezuelan twist whatsoever. I was really excited about this book because it was supposed to bring me back to my roots and childhood and I was planning to transmit that to my child, but that book infuriated me. The author just put in some words together and that was it, "let's say arepa and call it Venezuelan". I would NOT recommend this book EVER! I actually created a whole list from A to Z of Venezuelan words, sayings, places, etc. to share with my little one because this book sucked. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
