Fit perfectly and works correctly
My Maytag Centennial clothes washer stopped working and was blinking the green sensing light. I was about to call a repair person however could not get ahold of them so i started looking into it and determined from the you tube video that it was the shift actuator, so I ordered one from Amazon it arrived the next day. It was very easy to install. I unplugged the washer cord pulled it out from the wall and tilted it over against the wall so I could access the bottom. Then removed the actuator by removing the plastic cover that had two hex head screws and two Phillips screws holding the actuator and a muti pin plug. Reversed that process to install new it only took about 30 minutes and after the computer in a few minutes recognized the new actuator in the machine it worked perfectly. I saved a whole lot of money doing this myself.

Great item, out with the old, in with the new and my washing machine is working like a charm! I recommend this item to everyone with a washing machine that wash but won't spin. This product solves the problem.

Dead on arrival
My washer was stuck in sensing mode after installing the part. I didn't have that issue before so it created a new one. Put my old acuator back in and the washing machine is working again. I could hear the motor on the new actuator trying to engage like it was stuck. I will be returning this part for a genuine Whirlpool part. Much cheaper than OE which is why I purchased it. Quality appears to be good and looks and fits the same as original. Perhaps this was just a fluke part.

Part fit perfectly, was really easy to replace-at least on my washer anyway. If you have an older washer, you're well advised to keep it going- new ones do not last like old ones! 600$ for a bottom of the line model nowadays- and you'll be lucky if they make it through the warranty period before some electronic part fizzes out. Ours just wouldn't go into spin mode. Took 1/2hr from start to finish once I had the part in hand- just needed a few basic hand tools.
