Save your money
This came in very flimsy plastic packaging which automatically gave me an impression that the quality was not good. When I placed batteries in to see how it would work this would stop turning the second it touched even a toe. I tried a few different batteries all from new packaging, still no good. I keep my feet are pretty smooth and only purchased this to see how it would work vs. other ways I pamper my feet. I wanted to return it, but this product came up as ineligible for return. VERY disappointed.

Disappointed
So I had one before and I LOVED it. Im barefoot MOST of the time and if not I'm in big heavy work boots so I ran it hard. It ran for almost 7 years and finally wore out. I naturally bought another one to replace it. The new one doesnt start. It came with lots of great accessories and even batteries! But it just wont run. There is "no returns for this item" so I'm just left with a big bag of disappointment.

Don't waste your $
The first negative was that it was shipped in one of those plastic shipping bags so it got somewhat squished. The packaging itself was dirty and so was the device. Also, it does not remove calluses, it will shave off any tiny dead skin slivers that are sticking out. Either way if you try to apply any real pressure it stops the rotation. Also, the battery door was broken on the one I got so I have to try to hold the thing closed while using it. The last straw, I tried to return it a week, and apparently returns aren't allowed for this.

Works great when no pressure is applied
I think the reason some people rate the Pedi Spin poorly is because they are pressing the Pedi Spin against the callus and causing the spinning disk to stop. Most complaints mention a weak motor, or not enough power. The instructions clearly state that the Pedi Spin should be gently rested on the callus and allowed to do its work. It will not sand a callus down as quickly as one might expect from a "power-grinder", but it will sand a callus down very effectively when held gently. In-fact, if the Pedi Spin is held softly in one spot for longer than 5-7 seconds, the friction from the spinning disk will cause discomfort/pain in that area. I believe if the motor was any stronger people would be able to easily injure themselves. Likely for safety reasons the spinning blade will stop if pressed too hard against the callus.Another great feature of this product is the "suction" created by the spinning disk helps reduce the spread of skin dust, which is always an issue when using sandpaper or other similar products. With the Pedi Spin most of the skin dust is captured inside the blade compartment. The Pedi Spin has my vote.\Yes, I would highly recomment the Pedi Spin to those able to resist pushing the unit into the callus. If you can be gentle and patient, the Pedi Spin will sand away all traces of a callus. I think it is a great product.

Gentle & a quiet motor
I bought this for the calluses on my hands from weight lifting. The metal pads are probably good for callused feet but I only use the buffer pads on my hands & it’s perfect. The motor is gentle & too much pressure causes it to stop so it’s hard to hurt yourself with it. Very happy to find a solution better than pumice stones or shavers to deal with rough calluses & keep them from ripping.

Broke after only one foot
DO NOT BUY THIS! I owned this product before and loved it, but misplaced it. I've been looking for a new one and couldn't find it in the stores. So I was happy to find it here. I ignored the negative reviews. Boy am I disappointed. Loaded the batteries and used it on one foot. Turned it off to switch feet. Would not turn on again. I changed the batteries to brand new ones. Still would not work. I'd return it if I could.Edited to add: Amazon let me return it and I've already gotten my refund.

Just OK, Works Best in Tandem with Ped Egg
Works best in tandem with the Ped egg. We put fresh alkaline batteries in it and when I fired it up, it sounded impressively powerful but that power goes away quickly with even the slightest amount of pressure on the heel of the foot. Found that by starting off with the manual ped egg first to get the any hard or thicker callus off, then using this after that, provided a nice smooth finish. So my thought is that after you get through the rough stuff, this will be good to maintain. All in all I was a little disappointed in the purchase as I was hoping to just be able to use this instead of having to use the manual ped egg as well.
