I have had thes "hair bun Holders" in the past, and have now grown my hair long again and am really glad I found them on Amazon... they make your hair look more formal with out any more work... caution: I have thin hair... not sure if big enough for thick hair.

I am completely inept when it comes to doing hair. I have bought nearly every "easy" updo product in the hair product aisle and I can never get them to work for me - it all falls apart within minutes. I just wanted one nice-looking updo trick that wasn't a ponytail (the only thing I can actually get to work) that kept all the ends from sticking out everywhere. This looks very nice and feels secure, even while chasing around 2 toddlers all day. It might not work for people with very long or very thick hair, though. My hair hits about armpit length and I don't think it would cover if it were any longer.

Would be nice as a decorative cover for a well-held bun. Doesn't work as a bun holder, however: too small to hold much hair, and the plastic stick is too flexible and too short. Worst: it ships from England, so it you decide to return it, you'll pay as much in postage as the item cost.
