Fit for their purpose. Not as thick as card index dividers were a few years ago.25 cards in pack. U and V are together on one card and Y and Z are together on the last one and the letter/s Mc is on a card alone.Letters are only marked on the fronts of the tabs so if you want to put your own groupings on the tabs just turn the 24 cards around.The tabs only show just under a quarter of an inch above the tops of my Marion Nelson Knitting cards which are one and one eigths inchs high.Height of actual card divider from base to bottom of tab is almost exactly 4" and tab is five eights of an inch high on the top of that.Hope this helps
