Excellent performance
Using this on a Mini ITX build in a Thermaltake V1. Works perfectly and on an i5 8400T with all 6 cores maxed out with prime 95 for over an hour, it doesn't go above 50c and pretty much the entire motherboard gets some airflow. You can turn the cooler round as it has offset heat pipes to provide clearance for different boards where the CPU socket might not be central. The supplied fan is very quiet and the whole thing is really easy to fit. The secufirm fitting kit works well and is easy to fit.Lots of accessories are supplied, including a splitter, extension and low nose adapter, as well as a spare set of fan clips. If you can fit this huge cooler in your case without any obstructions, you will definitely be happy with the results, the cooling is excellent and the whole package, as will all Noctua products is quality. The only real downside is the colour of the fans. It is Noctuas trademark and has been for many years, but as times change and people want a PC that looks the part, they are going to lose out to other manufacturers that are catering to that market.

Worth the premium price, great performance
Really happy with this product, I tried cheaper coolers before this like the hyper evo 212, arctic freezer 33 esports one and while they did the job, they didnt really leave any headroom for overclocking. I was getting around 76c average and 80-85c max temp (no overclock) with them on stress tests and when playing battlefield V, with the noctua im sitting at around 69c average and 73max temp with an overclock of 4.6ghz and 1.25v on my i7 4790k, im pretty sure i could go have this at 4.7 easily without hitting 80c max temp too (i did for a few hours but wasnt stable and i didnt want to add more volts). On games like fallout 76 and divinity original sin 2 definitive edition and overwatch, i get average temps of around 56-60c (playing for a couple hours).Yes its not the prettiest looking cooler and it is still big if you go for the fan on top of the heatsink rather than below, but its. One of the only noctua fans which will fit my case as its less than 160mm.Installation was easy and quick plus they give you thermal paste with the cooler, which ive read is very good stuff too.Overall really happy with this cooler and feel it is worth the price as there is no compromise on the build quality and performance.

A real Cool device!!
I have to say this is perhaps the most effective Processor cooler I've ever tried - and I've tried a lot of them over the years! The finned radiator is fed by 7 nickel-plated heat pipes, and to help dissipate the heat from this fin stack the extremely quiet Noctua 140mm PWM fan (supplied) can be fitted either to the top or (where height is especially tight) under the radiator. In extreme circumstances, where you might plan on occasionally driving the CPU very hard (when it'll produce most heat) you can even have one fan on top AND one underneath to help you knock a few more degrees of the CPU temperature!! However, if you prefer quiet cooling, there's also an adaptor supplied which (when fitted) will reduce the spin-speed of the fan considerably, if you only want to use a DC-controlled 3-pin connector on the motherboard. The cooler also features a very firm mounting system for holding it onto the motherboard and the processor itself.Being canted over in a C-shape to reduce its overall height, the cooler manages to avoid the nearby RAM sticks (even if they're fitted with heat-spreaders up to 70mm tall), whilst permitting access to the PCI-e slot nearest to the CPU on most ATX motherboards.

The best in the world, probably.
This is a good cooler, probably the best in the world. It works great on my FX8350 CPU keeping temperatures below 50c under load. I added another fan to it but even going all out, the sound is minimal. In fact, the noise from my corsair airflow case fans running at 800rpm is more noticeable than the two A14s running at full zip. It’s expensive no doubt but you need only ever buy one of anything Noctua make as their quality is second to none. If Noctua ever starts brewing a lager, it’ll also be the best in the world, probably.

AM4 vesion
Just fitted 1/2 hour ago , working well with fan on top .Yes its expensive but it works so well , have one of noctuas 92 mm low profiles on my second pc .Really well designed and a breeze to fit ( Had more trouble trying to close my case than fitting it ),and it is amd4 friendly , just make sure you line up the holes on bracket too am4 . I am no pc expert myself just an average pc builder (still learning ) and i managed to fit it with the mobo in the case , it takes a bit of thought and patience but it can be done .Took about 30 mins too fit and reset up the pc , just make sure you clean up the old thermal paste off the cpu , and bobs your granny , your good too go .
