Is this actually a deep red colour? The customer pic looks orange

This is a wood stain product not a paint so the end colour will depend on type of wood, any previous colour or pigmentation on the wood and how well you sand back the wood before staining. If you want deep red colour but a deep red paint, if you want a more natural looking finish then buy this and prep the surface properly

I have just used this & it looks very orange. Not like the original mahogany. Will it get darker with more layers?

Definitely darkens up after 2 or 3 coats and when fully dried. I wouldn't class it as a dark mahogany however, more like a deep chestnut. Applying teak oil to finish gives a deeper/darker shade

Will this work on bamboo fencing?

I have use this product on different types of wood,some less porous than others. Less porous surfaces, like bamboo I imagine, tend to need an extra coat. It goes on easy and dries quick so that is less onerous than it sounds. I hope that helps.
