Nokia N97 Mini Sim Free Mobile Phone - Black

This phone is a whole new experience from my old Nokia slider model, so it's a huge learning curve. The slider keyboard looks great and is great to use.It's probably my inexperience but accessing various apps l find awkward. But the Battery, what battery! With a fully charged battery on a 3hr rail trip to London using different apps constantly and listening to music it was flat before reaching London. Same thing on the return trip! Spare battery might help! I like the quality feel and size and a 5mp camera that takes good photos makes me happy with my purchase

With this phone you get the best of both worlds: a touch-screen and a REAL qwerty keyboard which slides out leaving the screen at a great angle for viewing what you type. This is a serious smartphone for people who want real-world communication capabilities in their pocket. Everything you can do with the touchscreen you can also do with the keyboard, and of course it's much easier to compose e-mails and messages with the keyboard. When the keyboard is open it feels (and looks) like a mini laptop, but when it's closed it looks like a smart and elegant touchscreen phone. Unlike the iphone, the signal and reception are excellent, the N97 mini does serious multitasking, and it doesn't feel like it'll shatter the moment you drop it. Free voice-guided satnav is a major plus too.

Terrible, slow, Horrible OS, Nice slide tho.My fiancee has this phone on contract, It went back for repair 3 times and still has problems.when taking the phone in and asked what was wrong with it, She said its not charging the charging symbol is always on screen, it crashes it says contacts empty everything. he replied so its just basicly because its the N97 mini..This phone is so bad shes bought a pay as you go blackberry and put her sim in lol Other people have said the same about it. Its not worth 1 star really

Very happy with the handset itself, but there are a few issues with software.Good:- Robust case and mechanism. You don't feel you have to treat it too carefully- Small enough to fit into any pocket- fairly reliable, but has crashed maybe once a month- qwerty keyboard makes it perfect for email on the move, which is the main reason I bought itBad:- On most apps text is too small for me to read easily, and unfortunately each app has its own method of changing the font size, which is frustrating. When magnified, text is not re-wrapped, meaning constant left-right scrolling.- More generally, there is no consistency from app to app, even the common ones that get used every day, for common functions like selecting and magnifying, which is really frustrating. Not the phone's fault but the app development community needs to be more proactively steered toward a common look and feel.- Sat-nav on OVI maps is really an emergency-use-only feature. On the move it seems to have difficulty locking onto GPS, and by the time it does you've missed the turn- Can't seem to get some apps to behave as I want vis a vis connectivity, which is to use Wi-Fi if possible, otherwise automatically flip to cell network.

I love the look and functionality of my N97 mini but having load of problems with this phone. Let me list down the good bits first.1. Slim , easy to browse internet2. Good GPS receiver compared to N95 which I always have to use external GPS receiverbad bits1. system not stabil, always hang and I often need to take the battery off to reboot. Really hate this.2. The touchscreen is real problematic when you use it outdoor in bright light, its very blur but when you are indoors, its really nice crispy screen. You don't use mobile phone indoor a lot, aren't you?I will not recomend this phone because it just not practical

I have recieved phone this morning and I really appreciate the seller that I got what seller has mentioned in his ad. I am really glad to have this phone, though it is locked to Vodafone I am not trying to get it unlocked for my Virgin network. I have used the Wifi and its working awesome on this Nokia N97 mini.I would like to know what else this seller have in his list, would love to deal with him again.My Best Regards
