Feels like a well-made wire, but the speed is not what was advertised
UPDATE: The seller has sent me a replacement cable free of charge and this works perfectly.I noticed a bottleneck in my home network between my PC and other devices.I was confused, because all network devices and connectors should have suitably high bandwidth - from my high-speed router and switch, to the CAT 7 Ethernet cables. After lots of trial and error using iperf3, the culprit turned out to be this wire.I was getting speeds of 100Mbs - when I should be getting something in the region of 1000Mbs - something this wire should easily be capable of providing.I repeated my tests with a different wire and got the expected speeds.Interestingly, I ordered a 5m version of this cable - that works at the advertised speed.Maybe this wire has been mislabeled (it says CAT 7), or maybe it's a manufacturing fault, but given the hoops I've had to jump through to ultimately replace this wire, I can't give this a good review. I'd have preferred it if the wire didn't work at all, it would have saved me some time.

Good quality, flat cable
Bought this to replace my current use of a power line adaptor which was was starting to fail. Instead I ran this cable from the router right through my hallway and lounge, under the carpet and to an alcove where I have a gigabit ethernet switch to supply internet to a number of devices. The intermittent wifi fault has now been completely resolved and we have Firestick TV, DVR, TV and others running via this cable perfectly. Checked my speed at the hub, and at the switch (post-cable) and there's no noticeable loss and everything seems to function well including my sons Xbox and Playstation which also takes a feed from it via a second ethernet switch daisy chained in the system.I chose this one based on the cable type/spec, and the fact it's CAT7, and equally importantly because its flat so ideal for under-carpet installation.

Arrived on the suggested date. I'd had a lot ...
Arrived on the suggested date. I'd had a lot of connection problems from my ISP. This resulted in visits from engineers (they pointed out that they are only responsible for the signal to our property, not for what happens to it after it arrives) who couldn't find a fault with the signal as the Mbps signal was as it should be. After purchasing a lot of expensive, enhancing, equipment the fault remained. It struck me that before purchasing a stronger Modem/Router, getting the incoming signal to the devices that needed it, ie DT Computer, Android TV, youview box, and various use of an ipad was not going to happen unless I could link them to the signal I was receiving. A stronger Ethernet cable that could cope with a dual signal ADSL/VDSL supplied by Fibre Optic, that had the magic word Gigabit might be the answer.I now believe it was as I've gone from CAT.5 round Ethernet cable to CAT.7 flat cable and we are into our third week of uninterrupted use of the Internet.

Big improvement over wireless speeds.
15m: I was suprised how small the cable was. I fitted it with adhesive clips, running from the hall by the front door, up the stairs, along (under) landing carpet and into upstairs rear bedroom to computer. I'm in my seventies and not in the best of health, but had no trouble laying the cable.I'm on BT superfast Wireless (140Mbps / 40Mbps) via a wireless modem and was getting full speed on wireless downstairs, but only half that (sometimes even less) upstairs until I fitted this ethernet cable. Future proof. Very happy.

My ancient Vista laptop had a physical ethernet port meaning with my Plusnet Fibre Optic connection I could get up to 8 Mbps download and 2 Mbps upload. My newer Win 8.1 notebook only had Wireless and USB ports. Perhaps due to my shielded location away from the modem but I was peaking at 2 Mbps download and 0.5 Mbps upload, basically only getting 25% of my Internet potential. So I got a combo of a Rankie USB 3.0 Ethernet Network Adapter linked with a Primewire CAT.6 cable means I'm back to to those speeds, stable and reliable. All plug & play, no driver hassles, the kit looks slick & sturdy. My online gaming is now back up to scratch & I can download and stream at 4x the wifi rate.

Flat is better
super cable, the fact that it is flat is a real bonus, it means it is easy to get under doors or run along the wall smoothly, just ae it more convenient than the usual rounded cable.I will most likely order longer lengths now that I have seen the cable, as it will be handy to pass under the door and give me extra coverage where my Wi-Fi refuses to reach.Does the job you'd expect and no slowing of speeds so very pleased with purchase

Simple & effective
Complete technophobe but advised to get this to connect my laptop direct to the router while I completed an online invigilated exam - did the 1st paper without & it had been a really glitchy & painful experience. Plugging in direct really improved things. Cable & connectors are good quality & now son approves as plugging the PS4 in via cable has really improved this too

Not all cables are creates equal
Its a network cable and you wouldnt think there is much to differentiate them but thats not the case. This is a repeat purchase as i think these are great. The latch which is my biggest bugbear with other vendors is solid and secures well in the switch. Just as importantly its easy to unplug which can be a real frustration with other vendors. There are lots of different lengths (i own 4 different lengths) and they look really nice if into that sort of thing.
