Country Kitchen Traditional Wooden Bread Bin Storage Freestanding with Shelf (Buttermilk)

Nice item. Has a glossy finish which I didn't expect. Fits on the side under the cabinet leaving enough room to put things on the shelf above. It does seem rather expensive but looking at bread bins across the scope of what's available it does seem to be good value for what it is. Can fit a loaf, some rolls and crumpets in there, or two small batch loafs (400g) and some rolls.

Item arrived very quickly and was very impressed with the quality. The wooden shelf was smooth and nicely finished. Paintwork was very good. Unfortunately, the paint was chipped all along the top of the pull down door. I phoned customer service, got through right away and the lady could not have been more helpful. A new item was delivered the next day, in perfect condition and a prepaid returns label arrived a few days later. The bread bin looks great in my new kitchen. I can fit a hovis best of both loaf in it, a small loaf and a couple of rolls. Very happy with my purchase.

Really lovely breadbin. Holds about the same amount of bread as most breadbins. Nice addition to kitchen. Would have given 5 stsrs if there had been some little feet attached as it tends to slip forward a little bit on opening but that's just a small problem really, still worth purchasing.

I fell in love with this item the first time I saw it on Amazon but unfortunately they were out of stock. As soon as I saw it back in stock I had to order it. Looks perfect in my kitchen along side my cream small electrical items. Having the shelf on top is ideal for putting the butter dish and jar of marmite - all in one place ready for breakfast. Well made, sturdy item of kitchenware, would definitely recommend

After looking long and hard for a breadbox everywhere, we decided on this one because of the country colours to match our kitchen and little shelf on top. When this product arrived, hubby & I were over the moon because of how beautiful it looks. The hinges for the bread door works seamlessly. The box holds a large bread. The shelf holds 3-5 jars depending on the size. Keep away from water as the bottom isnt water resistant. Can easily wipe clean, all surfaces are smooth.

Really pretty but utterly useless. Absolutely stinks of mothballs which taints anything put in it. I have tried all sorts to get rid of the smell, from bleach to vinegar. I left it outside to air for a couple of days but the smell just won't go away. Would return but I can't be bothered as it looks very nice in my kitchen albeit unused which is a shame. Little shelf on the top is quite handy which is why it has 1 star.

The item looks pretty externally and design / size is exactly what I wanted but its construction quality is utterly appalling. There are gaps in both bottom corners due to the boards being wonky and a very large one in top left corner where the plaster board is broken but the panel was used anyway. It also it stinks to high heaven of glue or paint and there are visible glue splodges. This is the shoddiest quality item I have bought via Amazon in a very very long time. It is not fit for purpose as it will not keep bread fresh with such gaps. I have contacted the supplier to request a refund given the defects and manufacturers poor quality materials. I'm very disappointed as superficially it looked to be the perfect thing and the design is just what I need.

Nice to look at but not worth the money. If it had been half the price that would have been more in line with the quality.
