I must say I was very excited when I found out that they modded the cushions so they can fit my earphones. The old way of doing it was very tedious and can cause damage to the ear cups. This is more foolproof. And they snap on and off within seconds.The old way of doing it was really a modded way of removing the actual ear cup cushion from the plastic container that holds the ear cup in place. In some cases you would remove glue and have to replace that glue when putting it back in place. That is something I just didn't want to do. So I am so happy that they come with the plastic clips already secured onto the ear cups making the process so much more easier than you can replace each cusion.Snap-off the old ear cups. And then snap on the new ones. And that's it. Took me a total of 30 seconds to do both of them. Just watch their video in order to know how.With these new headphones cushions I am now getting a slightly different sound stage. But not enough where I would say it's either good or bad. It's just slightly different. It does help isolate footsteps in Modern Warfare 2. I was able to reduce the volume and reduce the Reverb. So that is a huge Plus. Furthermore, the cool portion of the headphones actually does work. You get a cool sensation around your ear when you put them on for the first time. It does wear down after 10 to 15 minutes but it doesn't change how they feel on my head versus the original. Just a bit more relaxing. And a lot more comfortable than the originals.

These ear pads work great and are more comfortable than the default ear pads that come with the Penrose. They have held up well with around 10 month use.The thing that solidifies this product as 5 stars is the great customer support WC offers. My Penrose broke within a year - I am returning them to Audeze for a Maxwell replacement and WC offered a replacement ear pad since the original ear pads for the Penrose do not fit the Maxwell. Awesome customer support and I will keep supporting them for future purchases!

I was looking for replacement pads because the stock leatherette ones were peeling badly. Official replacement cost $30! And I honestly hate leatherette ear pads because sooner or later they will peel. These are thick padded and comfy like a memory foam mattress. They definitely have a cooling effect and keeps the ears nice and cool. The stock ones were overall heat traps that got me sweaty fast. I looked before but it seems recently they made the ear ups for the Penrose. Thank you!!

Bought for the Audeze Penrose. PC and PS5 is what I use. The penrose is the best sounding gaming headset I have heard and also the most uncomfortable by a long shot. The stock earcups are so thin and my smallish ears feel like they are touching the drivers and my ears hurt using them. These feel great and have given my headset second life. The minor downside is there is a decent clamp pressure still. I much prefer the headband of steelseries, but this makes me use the audeze over the steelseries nova pro again. Comfort went from like a 1 to maybe 6 or 7. I'm no audiophile by any means, but the ear candy of the audeze was always what I liked, but the comfort was literally terrible. Now it is decent. They breathe well and have a nice mix of softness and stiffness. Now if only I can find a way to make the headband more comfortable on the top of my head it would be perfect.

These are my daily drivers. I’ve purchased 4 sets of mobius going all the way back to the original kickstarter. TEAM Gold…There no doubt in my mind the sound signature is different. For esxample, I’m getting a reverb sound from the highs now. The bass isn’t as significant.I’ve also purchased the dekoni cups but I really don’t feel like cracking out the scalpels and glue. I’ve compared these pads to a sample from Audeze which I have in stock. I have a brand new earcup set order just recently from Audeze direct. Original new Audeze replacement ear pads.The Audeze and the Dekoni pads feel basically next to nothing compared to the construction of these pads. These pads are significantly deeper and thicker, I also think have a bigger ear cup.What would make these perfect would be if this company would offer these pads in full or micro ventilated leather. If they offer these pads constructed just as they are with a leather option, I think game over they become absolutely necessary. Many times since I purchased them I’ve thought about replacing them with either dekoni and or the original pads but have yet to do it because there so much better constructed. But there’s a different sound. To me it’s noticeably different. Until I find what I’m looking for I won’t stop looking it’s just me.
