The belt is very sturdy and well made. The adjustment strip and buckle are heavy duty and give positive clicks and tactile feedback when making adjustments. The buckle is stylish and color matched to the belt itself and doesn't have any gold or silver accents that might clash with jewelry or other accoutrements. The fit was ideal and true to size so I haven't had to make any cuts so can't comment on how that process might work. The belt is marked with one-inch increments such that cuts can be lined up and measured out easily. The only slight gripe is that the blue belt is very dark blue; so much so that I have to get in a bright light to distinguish the blue from the black. The good thing is that the price was good and I got two quality belts that adjust well. One hint for use is that the release lever goes forward instead of backward like my other belts.

I don’t often leave reviews, but I really like these belts! They have a great look and feel and I really like the ratchet system to get a perfect fit. I can’t speak to the durability because I haven’t had them long enough, but so far so good.

I've switched to only wearing the ratchet style belts due to their easy sizing and very granular adjustability. These belts are good looking, and the buckles are well made and secure. The inexpensive enough they can be replaced when they start to show wear, but so far, they're holding up very well.One very important item to note is that the embossed size markings on the inside of the belt are completely wrong!! DO NOT go by these markings when trimming the belts. Thankfully I measured the belt before trimming and noted that the embossed measurements were approximate at best. I recommend putting the belt on, and noting how much needs to be trimmed to make the length of the exposed end look good and then trim a little less than that. Better to have to trim it twice than trimming too much and ruining the belt.

My husband said this is the best belt he's ever had. I've never heard him ooh and aah so much about anything. Quality is outstanding, easy to function, addyou can adjust it to even fit inbetween sizes.Awesome belt

I purchased these for my husband. He really likes the ratcheting. He has been loosing weight and his other belts were not working as well, I had to keep poking more holes in it. This belt really keeps his pants in place. Also love the fact I can cut it down if he looses more weight. Very well made. Just a side note, figure out how to loosen/take off the belt before you wear it for the first time. He couldn’t get out of it, it was quite funny watching him slither out of it.

Perfect high quality, cooking belts. I love the carbon fiber look I purchased the blue and a black ratchet belt. Both are awesome.
