I was surprised at how well this mat worked but when we used it, I wished I'd had it for the first 10 years of kid-painting! The wells were the perfect size to hold a small amount of paint, and easy to mix colors in. The water cup was very sturdy and the magnet holding it in place worked well. The mat was big enough to cover a good portion of our table (about the size of a large placemat) which left plenty of "working room", the brush rests were also a great idea. It was SO EASY to clean up when we were done and rolls away nicely to fit with our paint supplies. I think this would even work well with water color sets because there's plenty of room for the container to rest on the paint wells. If you have kids who like to do messy arts/crafts, especially paint - definitely purchase one of these!

Such a GREAT set for kids who love to paint/create. We use these consistently with my 2yo and 5yo, and they make painting and cleanup a breeze! Helps keep paint contained, and we love the magnetic cups. Very sturdy - no spills yet. 5 stars for sure!

This 16" x 20" mat fits perfectly on a 1/8" artist painting wooden board. In my painting area I have room only for a French easel, which allows me to sit or stand. I extend the easel drawer to support the board and mat. The mixing areas are too small for me, but I can mix my paint directly on the mat. Clean up is easy with a baby wipe or wet towe..

I bought this to protect my new desk surface while making jewelry. Picking up and putting down pliers and other tools were scratching my desk so this solved the problem. But there are so many bonuses with this mat! The magnetic bowl (normally used for water if you're painting) is perfect for my bits of wire, cord, broken beads, any kind of debris. The little concave squares are perfect for sorting my beads, jump rings, findings, etc. and nothing rolls off my table! At the bottom of the mat is a ruler! This has been wonderful for me to use instead of whipping out my tape measure. I seriously think this could be re-marketed as a jewelry-making mat. I like the variety of colors but got a white one so that I can see things better. When it gets a bit dirty, a gentle spot clean with rubbing alcohol does the trick. The soft silicone material is nice when I'm resting my forearms on it. It's foldable and easy to transport. One of the most valuable acquisitions I've made recently for my jewelry making hobby. Also, I can use this for watercolor painting too!

My granddaughters love to paint, and their Mom loves to set them up at the dining table while she cleans and cooks. These mats are perfect for them! No more mess on the table.
