Cole & Mason H59302G Windermere Salt Mill, Gourmet Precision+, Stainless Steel/Acrylic, 165 mm, Single, Includes 1 x Salt Grinder

I'm now onto my third pepper grinder as the silver cap has separated from the inner plastic top on the grinder. It is only held on by glue as far as I can see. It's elegant and works well in use when the top stays on so I've persevered and now have a tube of superglue to fix it when it fails.

I thought this mill would fit the bill, but it doesn't do so, it really doesn't. It feels cheap in the hand, plasticky. The shape is not easy to hold, there is a tendency to slip in the hand when using. It is very difficult to twist the top to grind the pepper. The different degrees of courseness works very well. But I am seriously wondering what "Lifetime Guarantee " means? I have a feeling this grinder is going to fail me, when, I don't know, will it be within the Lifetime Guarantee? Who knows!.

Attractive set bought to replace a Cole& Mason set I had for ages. Easy to use but I can’t comment on long term effectiveness at this time.

It's a great grinder, but I was quite surprised when it arrived: I was expecting it to be FULL of salt (as the picture on the website selling it indicated) but it was as shown in the picture - about a third full. I think considering it was an 'Amazon's Choice' product they should have delivered as shown. Also the lid was not actually sealed. I took it out of some bubble wrap and could lift the lid of the grinder straight off.However, it's a great grinder and this gives me a chance to fill the rest of it with some of the salt I had in that had driven me to buying this product in the first place!

It's so easy to use and get just the right amount of ground pepper where I want it. Feels good and sturdy when holding. If it lasts and I think it will, it's a bagain.
