Perfect for cistern
Needed this as I was working with very little room to manoeuvre between an enclosed compact cistern outlet and the unit housing it. Connected well with no nasty kinking of the pipe. Male/female connector on opposing end makes it pretty much universal fitting. Good quality.

Brilliant in a tight spot, but not the most flexible
Look, for the cost, a pair of these elbowed tap connectors is an absolute steal.I used these types a lot, in Canada, to connect the toilet cistern to the water supply. They're much more supple there. My most recent requirement was for a bespoke made 500mm wide by 160mm deep wc cabinet enclosing the hidden cistern. Precious little room to work with in connecting the water supply to the cistern intake.I don't know why all enclosed cistern manufacturers insist on providing a 40mm plus thread on the outside of the cistern when any connector is only ever going accommodate 10mm. That means you've 30mm of wasted space taken up by excess cistern supply thread.Fortunately, it was easy to cut the cistern's threaded supply connection, removing 20mm. The elbow connect of this little saver meant that the cistern was easily housed within the 500mm wc cabinet.Only downfall is that the connector is supple, does bend, but has a mind of its own in which way it prefers to bend. The cistern connect is a static connect. Once connected and tightened, there is no give. If you're going to connect the other end to a 1/2" nut, you're going to encounter some pain-in-the-butt twisting in the flex that might not suit you. The answer for me was to use a JG pushfit in between. Anyone who has used the speedfit connects will know the joy in having a tight connect but with a tube that can happily rotate within the connection.
