MerrellMen’s Accentor Sport 3 Gore-TEX® Walking Shoe

This is the second pair I have bought as they are so good. The first pair lasted 3 years of heavy use so hopefully the same will apply for this pair. They look and feel great. They are sturdy but also quite light. I use them as an everyday shoe but also as a walking/trekking shoe and they can do it all.

I've had a pair of these for the best part of a year now and theyve been worn for over 600 miles threw the worst of all condition. They were a little hard on the foot to begin with but now feel like slippers.The waterproofing held up for a good while but sadly this week I was trekking bogs and both boots failed, I could probably treat them but waterproof socks would be a safer fix.The plus points to these boots must be the great ankle support, breathability and more so the weight. (The womens version of the boot my other half has is even lighter!)After I hurt my ankles running and while still in recovery I put my merrels on for a walk and couldnt even tell I was injured the ankle support was that good.The biggest critism I now have is they are really not good on wet rocks, but this is the cost of having a tough boot that will last the miles where softer soles that I'd wear for wet rock walks last an average 100-200 miles. So should be considered.Getting these at a discounted price I've been very happy with them, I expect them to last another 500 miles if I ignore the gortex being trashed but I'm going to be shopping for a new boot soon and will probably not be buying these again but glad to have had them and will keep wearing them in dry conditions or with sealskin socks.

The size information from previous purchasers was helpful and accurate. Im a size 8, so I bought 8.5 but they were tight. I returned them for a size 9. The size 9 is perfect. Having got the right size the next test was how good they were. On a recent walking holiday (10 to 14k a day) for six days, the shoes were brilliant. Very comfortable, solid and secure.

I bought a pair of Merrells in Australia in 2012 - they lasted a long time. The new shoes are the replacement and they look / feel just as good, if not better. Very comfy, fit perfectly, look good, I'm very happy.

Bought for my husband who tells me they are extremely comfortable, supportive, and look great!

I've been a fan of Merrell for many years and have bought nothing else. They have always been comfortable from the second you put them on and have the air of quality you'd expect at this price point. But this latest purchase is awful and without doubt one of the most uncomfortable shoes I have ever bought. They feel hard and plastic and pinch across the toes when walking. I have tried to persevere for a month or two but they are not breaking in and obviously it's now too late to return. The only reason they get a one star is because they look great are light and the sizing as always is bang on.
