Talk Italian 1 (Book/CD Pack): The ideal Italian course for absolute beginners

Great value for money, found it easy to follow, explains things well. Un acquisition davvero buono.

This book is fabulous. You will need to purchase a cd player.

I bought this for a beginners’ conversation class that I am doing. Useful information and exercises but the recordings are brief and not so easily accessible. Also would be better on a MP3 file or alternative. How many people have a CD player these days?

I seem to be picking up the language slowly but it doesn't seem as good as the talk French. Talk French was structured to allow its use without the cd but the Italian version needs the cd to be combined with the book. Early days but not a user friendly course is my honest view

My daughter is starting to learn Italian in September so we thought it would be fun to learn together! This CD is great and we listen to it in the car all the time. The speakers are Italian and there is a book to support the CD. Easy to listen to and learn, we have only just started but so far so good!

This seems like an ideal beginning for those of us who want to get around a bit easier in Italy. I can't say I have anything but the a few basic phrases yet but I still have a 10 days to go before leaving for Tuscany. It might have helped more had I started to use this course three months before going rather than three weeks!
