Brilliant walking sandals
I bought an exact pair 11 years ago before my travels to Uzbekistan,Turkemanestan and beyond. They were a fantastic purchase. They are extremely comfortable, hard wearing and have great ankle support. So well made. After 11 years of hard work they needed replacing and I was so pleased I could buy the same make and model. If they last another 11 years it would have cost me just under £8.00 per year. Highly recommend.

Love them and highly recommended!
Couldn’t have designed a better sandal for people who don’t fit standard foot measurements. Adjustable straps and well constructed soles give walkers comfort and confidence.

Great terrain shoes
Brilliant, don't go on holiday without them. Fit great, look great and are great. So comfortable. Highly recommend.

Robust
Let's face it, these sandals are ugly. So why did I buy them? They are Merrells and I have had several pairs of their trainers and walking boots and never been disappointed so decided to give them a go. They are robust, supportive and, above all, comfortable. The support is achieved by means of a very detailed/complicated design, which means that it is very difficult to get a matched pair. I had to send this pair back as they did not match. I then tried a local retailer and the first pair I tried there also did not match. The next pair were a lot better, so I bought them even though I can still see a discrepancy. Most people wouldn't spot it.My advice: the sandals are good and they sell well but don't buy online. Go into a local supplier and examine them minutely until you find a pair the you are satisfied with.

Great hardwearing walking sandals
Just love these walking shoes. They last for years, very hard wearing. So good that these are my second pair and didn’t need to look any further

These sandals have really helped me walk better. This is around the 6th pair I have had over the years.I am heavy on shoes and these do last me about 2 yearsThey are very well worth the cost, even though they are expensive

Very comfortable and supportive
I'm a 91/2 UK, the size 9 fitted well. Most comfortable sandals I've every bought. Not to clunky and support the foot, no slipping around.Three way adjustable, only niggle is that the neoprene band at the front under the adjustable buckle is quite snug and leaves a red line on my foot. That's not adjustable, not sure if in the tropics it would be too tight.

Absolutely perfect.
My last pair of Merrells has lasted me at least 10 years. I can't rate this make/design highly enough. They are comfortable, good looking and hard wearing. I love the fact that the straps are adjustable as my feet do not match eachother and are pretty cronky. The sole is thick enough not to feel stones but still flexible. I used my last pair for swimming and paddling through the summer which didn't harm them. I really hammered them; they did a lot of miles plus they were my 'go to' footwear for everyday use. They need no upkeep, you just rinse them and dry them naturally, and actually, I just wear them wet, they dry pretty quickly and do the same job wet or dry. After all that hammering the only reason I need a new pair is that I have literally worn the sole away. As a walker who likes uneven, difficult terrain I can report that they are supportive to the foot and hold you firmly. I was worried that my new ones wouldn't be as good as my old ones but I can report that they are as good (re materials, stitching etc), in fact I prefer the sightly different design (more heel/ankle support). The quality is reflected in the price - dig deep, they're worth every penny - if these new ones last me as long it'll work out at about £7.00 a year and for me they are absolutely perfect; I honestly cannot fault them.PS, I'm editing this after just reading other reviews; somebody wrote that the colour of the new ones is lighter than the old ones; they darken with age, my old ones were a lighter colour when I bought them. With age and use I've found they go a mid nutty brown, nice.Well, I bet you think I work for Merrel, I don't 😁. Get some!
