Your new secret sauce
Labeled as vegan/veggie compatible, this "mushroom ketchup" is a fantastic recipe/product... our order was shipped directly from the UK to our residence rather than shipping from a US importer. I believe it took about 10-14 days to receive the package. This "ketchup" is roughly the same consistency as Worcestershire sauce - that is, it is NOT thick like a "tomato ketchup" and is more watery than traditionally made mushroom ketchup. If you're familiar with mushroom ketchup as a thick condiment, this won't likely meet your expectations; however, if you're looking for a really nicely flavored vinegar-based dressing or marinade supplement, this is a really nice product with its own personality.I would guess it probably offers about the same uses as W sauce although the mushroom-based product has a less-obvious and somewhat less-tangy flavor than Worcestershire sauce and the mushroom ketchup is vegan/veggie friendly. If you like what W sauce can contribute to a recipe or marinade - but either want that in a vegan option or might not want the W flavor to overpower your meal, this mushroom product a really good option. We discovered it in Ireland and very happy to have it available again in the States via Amazon.

Best all around
This historic sauce should have never been forgotten. It has been used from before the 1800s. This stuff is everything worcestershire sauce dreams of! Smooth, savory and perfect for any cut of meat or crock pot roast. I put it on everything from chicken breast to ribs. Absolutely amazing!

Incredible umami flavor in a bottle
I started using this mushroom sauce about 3 years ago and it has become one of my go to seasoning for anything savory. Its like a cheat code for the kitchen. Use it in anything you would use Worcestershire sauce to surprise family or guests. Once you start using it you wont want to stop.

Delicious, like a savory Worcestershire without the fishy flavor
This is sauce that improves so many dishes. It's not thick, rather watery, like Worcestershire sauce.I love Worcestershire sauce. But since I've had mushroom ketchup, eating WS has a distinct fishy aspect that this doesn't have. It's just a wonderful blast of savory flavor for many dishes.I initially heard about this from Townsends, who is a great youtuber - look them up.My life is more complete with this as part of my cooking and meals :)

How did I live without this stuff?
I used to get an English "mushroom au jus" (can't remember the brand: they're famous for their mint sauce). Had the local gourmet store order it in for me. Then it wasn't available any more, and I tracked down a few dusty bottles, but they've been gone for years.This has a stronger vinegar taste, but I think the mushroom taste is also stronger, so it's very versatile. I got four bottles. The first one is going fast: I try it on almost everything. I imagine I'll slow down as I learn what it won't work on.Surprise? Drizzle about a teaspoon on a pasty. It really meshes well.

Pricey alternative to Worcestershire sauce
I used it in my Bloody Mary, but I don't know it I could tell it from Worcestershire sauce, except that the bottle was empty much faster.

Good in soups and stews
This stuff is not like tomato ketchup. It is a lot thinner like Worchestershire sauce. In winter I thrive on soups and stews. This adds a nice flavour to beef barley soup. It extends the flavour so to speak if that makes sense. I like it.

Makes every meat dish amazing.
Think if this not like a ketchup but a boost of flavour to dinners like spaghetti bolognese/lasagne/stew/shepards pie/cottage pie/homemade burgers/savory rice. Basically any beef dish,this boosts the flavour, which is handy if you're making recipes where mushroom is supposed to be added but people in the house don't like them, they will honestly never realise this concentrate is in there. I got a bottle in a subscription box, finished it then went to find where I could buy it in bulk lol. This a good value for money, I add around 3 tablespoons (sometimes more lol) no, they didn't realise and those were the meals that they said "definitely have that again!" So it's going to become a staple lol.

Omg. So delicious. I use it in ragouts, soups stews and gravy. Adds so much flavour! Highly recommend.

Liquid gold for flavour enhancement
I have used this product for years. It used to be readily available in the supermarkets, but seems to have slowly disappeared.Although mushroom based, this stuff is amazing at drawing out the true flavour of meat. Especially red meat, although it does give a nice additional zing to white meat too.Over the years I have been complimented so many times on my roasts.... Well this is my secret ingredient.Just "carefully" (this stuff shoots out the bottle when you tilt it!) pour over the joint before you add your seasonings and then cover, as you normally would.It's also excellent for stews & casseroles and perfect for making marinades too.Love this product!
