Exo Terra Terrarium Foam Background, 30 x 45 cm (fits PT2602)

I purchased the Exo Terra background for my fish tank, I know it is designed for vivariums but have used similar products in the past with no problems.Let be clear I am very happy with the item, but should point out one or two minor niggles, firstly the size, it is not 60cm x 60cm as described but actualy about 60cm x 58cm, this may seem a minor point but since I was buying two to fit in a 120 cm x 60 cm tank it meant that I was left with a 4cm gap at one end which had to be hidden with creative landscaping.Also since I purchased two, I had hoped they would join seemlessly in the middle, again they don't and again I had to employ some careful planning to cover the join.Finaly the colour of the product is slightly darker than the photo, not a bad thing in itself but worth mentioning.All that said I love the product and would not hesitate to buy it again, it represents amazing value and delivery was super fast. Had it not been for the minor niggles mentioned it would have received 5 stars

I rate this, because it looks pretty great once in the tank, very realistic, and is actually the size it says, which is obviously very good, but because of this, it was difficult to get it into the tank, and a bit actually snapped off while trying. Also, when you think about what it actually is, just painted Styrofoam, it makes you wonder why people buy it for what it's priced at, especially as this stuff comes free in boxes, but I bought it at the end of the day, and I think I'd buy it again, because of how good it looks

looks great, easy to install. product says 45x45 however there slightly shorter than that. my vivarium is exactly 90 and there's about a 1 cm gap in the middle. not too much of a problem but still a little annoying.

This is ok for a background. I must admit I’m not raving about it.It does the job for my tank. It doesn’t really go with the rocks I got but it looks better than nothing and didn’t cost too much money.I’m not a great fan of the finish of it, doesn’t look that great but you get what you pay for. Ultimately it’s a relatively cheap solution to wanting a 3D background and to be fair to this product I have seen other foam back ground panels that were awful and came broken. These were well packaged and came in excellent condition.

Some Of The Sizes Don't Match A Fair Few Of My Vivs, So It Has To Be Cut To Size. Definitely Value For Money Though. Will Biy Again.

Looks quite cheap and tacky up close, as you can see the brush strokes of paint just swept across, but looks beautiful in the back of my corn snakes vivarium. You get what you pay for.I bought two 45x60 as there was not one long enough for my vivarium which is 40x120. I had to trim down the foam along the top but the material is easily cut if need be. Easily fastened to the back of the tank with velcro. Glad I purchased!

Had to cut it down to size because I couldn't see a 60x30 but it was very easy and took literally two minutes.My issue is that in the picture it looks great but in reality it's nothing like the pictures (kind of like a McDonald's burger). Most exo terra products are good so I was very disappointed with this.

I was recently given a fish tank with a basic setup and it was really lacking some character. This background was fantastic value for money and has really transformed my tank. It did require some trimming down but this was no problem at all. I used some aquarium friendly silicone to secure the background in place and allowed 48hrs to dry before filling the tank back up with water.The colour does vary from the image supplied. The background i recieved was more of a black colour in the ridges and tan clour on the rock face but it still looks really good. It is advertised as a terrarium background so i'm not sure how it will age with time but it has been in my tank for 3 weeks now and seems fine.
