I have used the Aervana electric aerator for quite a while. It has worked well and is an aesthetically beautiful contraption. Suddenly I noticed an acidic/metallic flavor in my favorite cabs and petite sirahs that were not there in the past. I decided to go the down and dirty route with a low tech solution. I have used aerators such as this one in the past, and the price is more than compelling! So, it works really well. Clean-up isn't a problem, and it does gurgle intensely, giving the assurance that it is doing what it needs to as you decant your favorite bottle. The ONLY gripe - and this is minor - is that there is a flimsy gasket that joins the upper and lower halves. It is quite easy to misplace it in your sink (or garbage disposal) during clean-up. It's also a bit drippy when you're not careful between pours. Other than that, it gets the Vivman seal of approval!

Excellent product at a good price. Almost all the red wines we pour through the aerator improve in taste. It's quick and rewarding. If you don't have the time to decant, this is the way to go!

It was a gift and they liked it but I didn't realize that it did not have a screen in it to strain. But otherwise it was fine.
