RubiesMen's Colonial Gentleman Patriotic Costume

Great Costume, my son loved it. He's typically a Men's small & it just fit him. P.S. We already had the hat, it didn't come with the costume!

This costume was loved by the wearer but it runs on the small size, works well for smaller thinner guys or young teenagers. Fabric is thin as most costumes are but then costumes are only worn for short periods of time. I have used this costume for two years for a 3 day program and it has held up well.

My son needed a costume to play Darcy in a “Pride and Prejudice” video for school, and this was the best we could find that didn’t cost a fortune. It’s good enough . My son is tall—around 6’4”—and thin, and the costume is long enough, but the the one-size-fits all fit is barely large enough. Also, the costume is very wrinkled from being folded in the package. This wouldn’t be a problem, but the care instructions say “DO NOT IRON.” I guess I’ll rinse it and hang it to dry and hope for the best.

My daughter (100 lbs. w/ a stick figure) wanted to dress up as John Adams. We were very pleased with the pants/vest and coat but opted not to use the boots as they would have been too big for her and not appropriate for the character. The ruffle was a little small for her so I cannot imagine how it would have worked on a broad-chested man. I do advise wearing at least a T-shirt underneath this as the faux-vest fabric is very thin.

Purchased item for my 11 year old son. Although he is taller than average, this costume was too small! Returning for refund.
